"Was happy with the quote and then the cost started adding up as the job went on, which is to be expected if hidden problems are found. Gutters removed, look at the facia, that will be another 2800. Ok fix it. oh you want those other 2 spots of soffit fix, which was visible at start, that will be another 150. Ok fix it. My house has wood gable vents and the paint job that was done on them still has bleed through, so when I asked if we could go with a darker color, that will be more money. So as to why I won't use again. I pointed out that the old paint was still visible around an outdoor outlet and the picture below shows how they chose to fix it. I removed all of that Caulk myself before it totally dried. The prep work on the peeling windows consisted of pressure washing and then paint right over what didn't fall off. When reinstalling my screens I noticed rotted wood at bottom edges of windows had been painted over. Now I paid for PVC brickmould to be replaced but this rot is right next to and behind the new trim. And they just painted over it. I noticed the paint in two locations had bubbles in these areas so I pushed on it and my finger went through, into rotted wood. When he came out to look at it, he said that wasn't in the price. I said why wasn't this brought up? And why did they paint over it? He said they didn't see it and that wasn't in the price. I said then why did they cut it out of other areas and paint right over it? We went back and forth and I thought for the price I paid and the fact they had that opened up, it should've been addressed. He didn't agree, so after he tried getting more money from me, I said don't worry about it I'll find someone else. What he didn't know is if he would've made it right I had 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, interior painting, a fence, and outdoor living space to be done. My mistake was giving the final check to his gutter crew without doing a final walk around. After he was fully paid he didn't seem to interested in my concerns. And it isn't like this was weeks after the job. This was the next day that I found the rot."
