"Found this provider at a local home show and really liked the look of his work. He is an artist. He contacted us within the week and came to the house the following weekend. We gave him a deposit the same day. I secured a permit (never required for this work except in our township) and we tagged the stone we liked at a local yard. He started work on a Tuesday of the following week. He measured and staked then dug, measured, put down small stone, tamped, measured, etc, etc. He removed excess dirt. Then we had two rain days. He and a helper worked Friday and Saturday putting down the base and making sure it was firm then laying the stone as if putting together a puzzle. They finished the following Monday and cleaned up. We have a beautiful irregular slate front walkway and LOVE it. It is just what we wanted. We did remove our old concrete walkway ourselves. Not everyone has the ability to do that. That would have been an extra cost. Devin is professional and polite, as are his helpers. Would definitely use this company again."

"Mr. Salvo is young! But he is knowledgeable as it is a family business and he is next in line after his father who was also a mason. His prices are fair and the work was done promptly. Paul's crew were hard workers and very kind guys. I feel like hiring Paul Salvo was one of my best decisions with all the work that I have done on the house. He was available at all time with texts and e-mail so whenever I had a question or wanted to tag on some extra work, he was easy to reach and quick to respond. Paul is a good guy who seems dedicated to providing honest service. I like that as I have dealt with contractors who don't have the skills of service, and that makes for a frustrating transaction.  My neighbors said you could hardly notice someone had dug up the side of the house as they worked quickly and always cleaned up each evening. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"I had a shed built in my yard years ago. It has held up well, except for the doors. The bottoms became rotted, and the wood panels started sliding down and off. I contacted Bill for an estimate, which was fair. Today the weather was nice enough to be able to do the job. My only hope is that the rest of the shed will hold live as long as these doors will. SO well crafted and put together. I couldn't be happier with the repair. The work was neat and organized. The final amount was a little over the estimate, but prior to the repair, we about hardware options that I liked, which required another hardware run and time. Thanks Bill!"

"I work overnight and contacted The Mulch Barn via their website in the middle of the night.  I had used them before and had forgotten how much supply I needed from my prior order and I was requesting the same amount of product.  The owner wrote me an email first thing in the morning and had looked up my previous order and let me know the amount I had ordered before and confirmed my request.  He put in my order immediately so I would be able to get the delivery the day that I needed it.  He asked that I confirm via phone, which I did and the delivery went smoothly and they showed up exactly when they said they would.  I sleep during the day due to working nightshift...I just instructed them where to dump the mulch and they delivered it while I was sleeping. I woke up to find it delivered and placed exactly where I asked them to.  <br />"

"had the utilities marked and went at it. didn't need no permits and looks great. dug it out starting at 7 am had It framed and the gravel laid and compressed before noon. just 2 guys . made it a full 10 inches deep and used 6 inches of gravel. had a issue with meeting with the sidewalk to the street as it was not level but managed to make it look good. after a quick lunch the concrete truck got here and they did their thing. left instructions to keep it wet for the first week to cure it better and now a year later it hasn't changed. and still looks bran new. always polite and professional and after it was done weren't allowed to take money. said the boss would bill. which wasn't what I planned but that's the worse there was. <br />"

"GTM was amazing to work with. GTM worked on a large project recreating our home's front steps and walkway. George and his entire staff were professional, diligent and a true pleasure to work with. They worked diligently and expeditiously. George was very responsive and communicated well as the project evolved. He always made sure everything was done to perfection. We would highly recommend using GTM for any hardscaping or landscaping projects."

FAQs for interlocking pavers for patios, walks & steps installation projects in Bridgeton, NJ

To calculate your paver needs:

  • Determine how many pavers cover a square foot.

  • Determine how many square feet you need.

  • Add an additional 10% to 20% for breakage and waste.

  • Consider your pavers’ sizes.

Or, you can hire a local pro who you know will get the right measurements the first time. This way, you get your weekend back instead of spending it measuring square footage.

A pallet of pavers costs $300 to $700 on average, and each pallet covers 56 square feet. The exact price depends on the type, size, and quantity of pavers you choose. Buying in bulk can sometimes offer additional savings, especially for larger projects. Ask your pro how you can save on material costs.

To get the best prices on pavers:

  • Hire a professional landscaper: Pros often receive discounts on materials, which can make hiring them more cost-effective overall.

  • Shop at local building supply stores: Check for overstock or bulk purchase deals. Bulk purchasing can be more costly up front but save you money in the long run.

  • Buy directly from manufacturers: Purchasing from a local brickyard or paver factory can offer competitive prices, especially for large quantities.

The main difference between driveway pavers and patio pavers is their load-bearing capacity. Driveway pavers are designed to withstand the weight of vehicles, whereas patio pavers aren’t suitable for such heavy loads. You can use driveway pavers for a patio, but using patio pavers for a driveway could lead to damage. Always check the weight limits of pavers and consult with a professional installer to choose the right type for your project.

Paver patios cost more than concrete patios because the materials and installation methods require advanced techniques and skilled labor. They deliver enhanced aesthetic appeal and allow for easier small‑scale repairs without affecting property taxes. The higher expense arises from premium paver materials and intricate installation processes that deliver long‑lasting durability and design flexibility. This robust solution provides notable benefits over concrete alternatives, making it a valuable investment for homeowners.
