"Tom from TAF was first to respond from the contractors you suggested. Came and inspected area the next week and emailed me proposal next day. More detailed work than I expected but work nevertheless needed done. Price very reasonable and hope to reach out again if/when I can fit into budget."

I found him on Angie's List and bought a deal that he had at the time. The work is completed at this point. There were certain aspects of the job that we not to my pleasure. I do not think I would use him again in the future. I do not think he did anything that another landscaper wouldn't have done. He did fine work. It wasn't a big job for him as jobs go in the landscaping world. I know they run several jobs at a time and he as the business owner goes from job to job over the course of a day. But he started the job here in the morning, left before lunch time and left his worker here. Then he did not come back for hours above and beyond the point where the worker had anything left to do. So they had done some drive way power washing for me, but because the worker was left here without transportation or enough job to fill in the amount of hours that the owner was gone he continued to power wash my sidewalk and had started for my curb for about an hour and a half with my water. Which will be an expense to me when  my next water bill comes in. I did not appreciate that he went off to another job or any number of jobs leaving his worker here. I don't blame the worker because the worker was just looking for something to keep himself busy. It was worrisome to me and I did not appreciate it. It did not make me happy. I think the work that was done was beautiful. I think the price was high for what he did. The weather did present a challenge but it was not his fault. He was as punctual as the weather allowed him to be. He kept at it until it was done.

"I wanted some other work done in my yard for the big deal, but a tree that was leaning pretty badly was noticed by the owner of Bumblebee and he suggested that it should be taken care of first before it fell down and destroyed something.

FAQs for landscape soil, sand, mulch and rock delivery projects in Bridgeton, NJ

Buying rocks in bulk is more cost-effective than purchasing them in bags. Bulk orders reduce the cost per unit because suppliers charge less when materials are acquired in large quantities. Procuring rocks by the pallet or truckload cuts packaging and handling fees, significantly lowering your overall landscaping project expenses while ensuring consistent quality.

Landscaping with rocks and stones offers clear benefits as well as some drawbacks. The advantages include a maintenance-free landscape that requires no watering or trimming, abundant shapes, sizes, and colors, and a durable material that resists decay and pest damage. However, the disadvantages involve higher upfront installation costs, challenges ensuring even placement, and increased heat retention in surrounding areas. A professional rock installation addresses these issues to create a balanced, attractive outdoor space.

The least expensive rock options for landscaping are crushed gravel, decomposed granite, and pea gravel. These choices deliver exceptional value through low material costs and simple installation, providing an affordable solution for outdoor projects. They help maintain a professional look while controlling your budget by reducing upfront expenses without compromising durability or visual appeal.

Preparing your yard for river rock installation is essential for achieving a flawless, long-lasting finish. Begin by clearing the area of weeds, debris, and large boulders, then install a durable landscape fabric to prevent the stones from sinking. Adding a layer of sand enhances even coverage and promotes proper drainage. These steps ensure that your installation remains secure and visually appealing.
