"Jennifer was timely and polite when she came for the estimate. Jennifer explained how long the work would take and exactly what would be done. She gave us a date for starting the project and even though there was inclimate weather during that week they started right on time. Work was completed in 3 days and they made our 44 year old cabinets look like brand new. We were were very pleased with the workmanship and attention to detail. One of the installers even went all the way back to Ft. Collins because a hole was not drilled quite right. Would use again and highly reccomend their services."

"The project went very well! Leonard spent a lot of time with me designing the new tile layout in the kitchen. He didn't stop working on the design until we came up with the design that we were both happy with. Leonard was able to put a curve design between the kitchen flooring and the living room flooring, a couple of other contractors balked at the idea of doing that. The transition was very nice between the kitchen tile flooring and the hardwood flooring. He also did a lot of scribe wood work around my fireplace. Leonard paid a lot of attention to detail. Overall the project went very well and was done in a professional manner. I would definitely hire Leonard again. He knows his work very well! <br />"

"Not all windows were scraped, no masking done, clean up was so so, and a can was left with unknown fluid. The window frames are painted. However a small window, not included in estimate, was painted in a professional way."

"Kitchen Tune-up, of Fort Collins Colorado.... Kent the sales and service rep .....and Keith installer... were all superb to work with. Kent quoted the different price points for the different variations that we wanted to consider with no pressure. He followed up extraordinarily well regarding any issues that we had, even those that were unexpected by both myself, my wife and Kent. Kent & Keith even went so far as to take care of Unforeseen circumstances... Customer service was superb. Quality and installation Excellent. This is a small franchise in Fort Collins in the process of building their reputation, and doing an absolutely fantastic job of that with their customers. We had our entire kitchen Replaced due to a kitchen fire, & had custom doors made for a pantry area. The quality of the cabinets is beyond anything I've seen even in custom shops. There is no MDF, everything is made out of plywood or real wood. I strongly encourage you too give Kitchen Tune-Up of Fort Collins, CO. an opportunity to bid your business. Just as a note they do both refacing of cabinets, and replacing as well. They also did not try to gouge us, for those unforeseen circumstances, they honored their quote..... even doing several things at their cost."

"Summary: Mike from Windsor painting does high quality work at a very competitive price, and has a professional team working with him. The details: - How did we find Mike? A friend who apparently is very picky had Mike pain their house and they felt comfortable recommending Mike since he met their high standards for quality. - How did we first contact Mike. As some reviews have mentioned, Mike does primarily communicate by text. I find that useful because everything is in "writing" and Mike honors what he writes. As some have also said, Mike is busy and while you may not get a response immediately after you press send, you will get a response in a timely manner where nothing is rushed or there are no miscommunications. - What did we have done? We have a new condo and the builder actually painted the walls AND the ceiling the same color! The builder paint job was horrible, we surmised that they probably didn't even prime the drywall and sprayed the absolute thinnest coat they could get away with. So we had Mike come in to paint all the ceilings and three bedroom walls of a 1500 sq ft condo. - Mike's expertise. Another reviewer mentioned that Mike know more than the average person needs to know about paint. Ok, true, but he was the one that told me I needed a different finish (eggshell and not flat) on the bathroom ceilings. There was also spot in our bedroom where I applied a rather large area of test paint of a different color and then I painted over it with the builder paint. This matters because if Mike didn't know how to cover it properly my very large square would "show" after being painted because there were two extra layers of paint that I applied. Mike showed his team how to paint over that area where the test spot I did is almost invisible. - Mike and his team's process. Since we had all ceilings and three bedrooms to do the first day Mike showed up he had an army of people with him. It was Mike and three others. Like an orchestra conductor Mike directed everyone so no one had slack time. One guy is taking everything (lights, vents, switch plates etc.) off the walls and ceiling, another set of guys are moving furniture, another set are taping off the walls and dropping plastic to prep. I was impressed that within an hour or less, Mike was already starting to spray the living room, kitchen, and dining room ceiling. They repeated that process for the rest of the house and by the end of the first day all ceilings and two bathroom ceilings were painted. On the second day they started to tackle the bedrooms and would have finished three bedrooms on the second day but due to some emergencies that caused one of his team members to run a little late they finished up the next morning. I mention this because things come up in a business and Mike made sure that finishing my house was a priority and finished my house. He actually said in the beginning that this whole job was 2-3 days and it was done in 2 and a half days with the unforeseen events. - Mike and his team's work. After working with Mike, I would use one word to describe him and his crew - METICULOUS. Mike and his team see everything and nothing gets left unaddressed. In the end, all lines are straight, and there is no paint bleeding from wall to ceiling or vice versa. Sure some bleeding happens in the process but Mike and his crew go through at the end and touch up everything. All the walls were rolled perfectly and the ceiling paint was perfect. - Mike's Team. Mike and his team are all very professional, personable, and respectful. As I pointed things out throughout the job, they all listened and either explained things or just did what I requested without any attitude or making me feel like I was asking for something unreasonable. - Mike's Integrity. During the process of taping off the walls, there was a very small accident and something got damaged. When I mentioned it to Mike he took accountability and made good on the damage. - Mike's pricing. We had three people come and quote and Mike was very price competitive and certainly gave a more detailed quote breakdown than any of the other two. He basically quotes based on man hours. So it doesn't matter to you whether there is one person or ten doing the work. Do we recommend Mike from Windsor Painting? ABSOLUTELY. In fact, before they left we decided to have the walls of two of our bathrooms painted since we had a little extra paint and we are trying to schedule Mike to come out. Disclaimer: Up until 3 days ago, I have never met Mike before. I am not related to him nor associated with him or anyone on his team in any way. This is a true and honest review and I am receiving nothing from Mike to write this review. My motivation is to help you get information and to also support small independently owned local businesses."

FAQs for cabinets refinish projects in Briggsdale, CO

To find the best cabinet refinishing expert for your project, start by researching local pros and reading reviews from previous customers. Reach out to a few contractors to discuss your cabinets' size, condition, and the look you're aiming for. Don't hesitate to ask for references or examples of their past work. Speaking with previous clients can give you valuable insights into the pro's workmanship and reliability.

When speaking with potential cabinet refinishing pros, consider asking them several questions to gauge their experience and professionalism. These questions can help you gauge the pro's experience and determine if they align with your needs.

  • Do you offer a guarantee on your work?

  • Can you create custom finishes or colors?

  • Do you have examples or samples of your past projects?

  • Are you able to match the finish to other cabinets in my home?

  • How long will the project take from start to finish?

Regular care will help maintain the beauty of your cabinets for years to come. To keep your refinished cabinets looking their best, follow these steps:

  • Use gentle cleaners: Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that can damage the finish. A simple mixture of warm water and mild dish soap works well.

  • Clean carefully: Instead of spraying solutions directly onto the cabinets, apply them to a soft microfiber cloth and wipe gently.

  • Protect from heat and moisture: Try to minimize exposure to excessive heat or moisture, which can affect the finish over time.

It's usually less costly to refinish cabinets than to replace them, depending on the cabinet condition. Refinishing cabinets cost an average of $3,114 while replacing cabinets is about $5,000 or more. When deciding to refinish or replace cabinets, consider several factors, including how old your cabinets are, your budget, and whether you need to complete any other renovation projects at the same time.

It may be worth resurfacing (also known as refacing) your cabinets if they’re in good shape but you’re interested in a different look. This is often less expensive than replacing cabinets outright and can allow you to update the look of your cabinets to reflect your kitchen’s current style without having to get rid of them entirely. The cost to reface cabinets is around $4,300 to $10,000, and you can hire a local cabinet refacing pro to handle this work.

Refinishing cabinets takes about two to three days to complete. The process begins with removing cabinet doors, drawers, and hardware, followed by cleaning, stripping, and sanding the surfaces. Any chips, stains, or splits are repaired before applying paint or stain. After applying the finish, the cabinets are reassembled, and the workspace is cleaned up, leaving your cabinets refreshed and renewed.
