"Douglas came out and gave me an estimate and said he would do the work the next day. Unfortunately, it rained. He left me a message a couple of days later telling me that 2 men were on the way and they arrived a short while later. Thank you, Douglas! I believe their names were Ralph and Francisco. They were very nice and very professional. They had to use pick axes and shovels but they got out every bit of the stumps and roots of large shrubs that had been in place for 20 years! The put in some nice new soil. Then Francisco carried a very heavy plant and planter from the back yard to the front on his shoulder! Pretty amazing! They dug a nice large hole for the pittosporum and were very careful to plant it so that it looked just right. They cleaned everything up and it looked wonderful! Then they pruned several severely overgrown mugo pines. I was very concerned about doing this because I was afraid they'd end up looking sparse afterwards. These guys really know what they're doing. The shrubs look fantastic! I couldn't believe they could look that nice! And, of course, they cleaned up everything afterwards. There was not a leaf or any dirt left anywhere. I was very impressed, and I'm a pretty critical person. I have their card and will not hesitate to call them again if I need any kind of landscaping service. Highly recommended! <br />"

"Tony Misley and his crew first treated the lawn for broadleaf weeds. They then thatched, aerated and seeded it, paying special attention to bald patches or shady areas that needed a mix of seed for best effect.  The whole area was then top-dressed with compost, rolled, fertilized and limed.  Tony explained carefully how often we would need to water the lawn until the new seed had germinated, and even waited to see that we had got the sprinkler system up correctly to make sure we covered the entire lawn area. <br /> In all a thoroughly professional lawn treatment.  We would certainly go with this company next time. <br />"

"They are excellent. I've worked with them over the years. They don't climb with spikes on their boots, they swing with ropes so they don't damage the trees. They will prune rather than cut the trees down. They were very responsive and very careful when they were doing things. They were very concerned about the neighbors. I have humongous big firs and that's when they come in with ropes. This time they used spikes because they were cutting down the trees. The managers and the people that actually come out to do the work are excellent. They carefully explain what they are going to do and how much it will cost. I get a really nice written bid ahead of time. They follow up to see if I am happy. The quality was very good."

"Outstanding.  Jon (the owner) and Clayton are usually the applicators who come----both a very trustworthy, polite, and do a very good job.  Only issues have been weather related and outside their control (eg too hot for weed control, can't spray because of rain, etc).   I would recommend this company to my mother.   For years I did my own fertilizing, but find that the cost for Valley Green to do the job has better results and is well woth the cost difference of dragging sacks of fertilizer home and walking 6 miles to put it down with a drop spreader.  They are very fine people who know their business and charge a fair price."
