"<p>Excellent - had asked for clean out of the dryer vent duct, but at the same price they</p> <p>replaced it with a metal lined expansion vent line. Pleasant and efficient workers. Will</p> <p>call them for chimney and fireplace cleanout later on. </p> <br />"

"Johnson City Heating and Air is fantastic! They worked with my contractor and created a laundry chute that traverses three floors and is secured in a piece of antique furniture. They did a fantastic job, were very aware of working inside the house and left things as clean as when they arrived. I was very impressed when I observed Ed remove his shoes before walking on my carpet. They also installed two "Air Oasis" in duct air purifiers into my HVAC. This air purifier is the real deal! I can tell a great difference in the air inside the house. The wife and I both feel much better since the installation of the air purifiers. I WILL use Johnson City Heating and Air for all of my HVAC needs."

"<p> This particular information above is about a <em>small </em>repair Kevin came to do BUT <strong>I really want to talk about his re-wiring of my</strong><em><strong> entire house about 3 or 4 years ago.</strong> </em>This review is a long time coming but of course that's on me.</p> <p>Kevin responded to my email quickly and we set a date to discuss completely rewiring my house the was built in 1950 and still on fuses. The house is 2000 square feet and it was going to be no small job for anyone. Old wiring had to pulled, plenty of shoddy repairs from previous owners, as well as the new updates were all needed. </p> <p>He was very honest up front about the cost and involvement in the work. He promised me at least 2-3 days of the week would be days working on my house. Keep in mind that most times that electrician's work often can mean juggling several jobs at once. With a few exceptions he and his crew stuck to their word. When they couldn't come I was called and given plenty of notice. That was completely fine with me since they were so good about keeping contact with me throughout the whole process. </p> <p>They were very professional but easy to talk to. Any changes they suggested or I had in mind were discussed before anything was done. </p> <p>They were prompt and worked hard. Kevin is also smart as my oddly configured old house presented some unexpected challenges and as I stated before any possible option was discussed before actual work was done. Rewiring an entire house is no small feat and  these guys did it as professionally as anyone could ask for. It took about somewhere around 2- 3 months but again this was a big job. The cost was around $17,000 but I'd actually consulted electricians who either never returned my calls or simply didn't want to do the work. </p> <p>I could go on and on but what is/was the most important thing to me was the outstanding quality of work and the honesty and integrity of Kevin and his two employees. There is no shortage of hucksters, hacks and plain old rip off artists out there but Kevin Spaugh isn't one of them for sure. He's just flat out what I call a good guy who does good work and I've been extremely pleased with the outcome. Kevin is a man of integrity ( a real rarity these days) and I wouldn't hesitate a minute to use him again. He has my highest regard and recommendation.</p> <br />"

"The test kit came promptly. We prepared it, sent it back, and received the report the next week. The report itself was quite limited, and not nearly as in depth as the annual report filed by our municipal water company. We expected more detail and were disappointed."

"Leinbach Services is one of the most professional companies I've hired for home repair services. I have utilized them for several things around my home, but in particular I want to discuss their HVAC team. T.J. Laney is the HVAC technician assigned to my home (Leinbach tends to send you the same tech so as to develop a relationship with them, which is an awesome practice!) T.J. is a very courteous young man. He always calls before he comes to the house and is either exactly on time or even early! In addition he is very respectful of your home, very clean with his work and does not leave any mess at all. He is extremely knowledgeable with HVAC systems and is always able to diagnose and fix any problem (if the problem can be fixed, sometimes there is just nothing to do for broken HVAC systems, cars, appliances, electronics, etc as all mechanical things have a shelf life!) T.J. is also able to predict things that may go wrong with your HVAC system and give you tips on how to prevent that from happening (as he pays attention to the customer and listens to how they typically use and maintain their HVAC system, so that he can tell the customer things they may be doing that could damage their system or things that they aren't doing that they should do to prevent it from tearing up.) I consider T.J. as an HVAC Doctor being able to provide both preventive care and curing your HVAC when it is sick! Leinbach is very lucky to have such a professional, courteous, knowledgeable and respectful employee. His attitude and work ethic are very admirable and also exemplary for other employees in any field. I am very glad to have discovered Leinbach Services and to have T.J. as the technician caring for my HVAC system."

FAQs for air ducts & vents cleaning service projects in Bristol, VA

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) states that air duct cleaning is not required unless visible issues such as mold buildup, rodent droppings, or excessive dust are present. When such conditions exist, cleaning becomes essential to protect indoor air quality and maintain HVAC efficiency. This approach minimizes potential health risks and extends the system’s life.

Air ducts must be cleaned every three to five years as required by NADCA to preserve system efficiency and indoor air quality. The EPA insists that cleaning is necessary only when significant issues such as mold, pest infestations, or heavy dust accumulation are evident. Annual inspections by a certified professional promptly address any emerging concerns.

The ideal seasons for air duct cleaning are spring and fall. Cleaning during these periods prepares your HVAC system for the demands of both winter heating and summer cooling. These seasons provide moderate weather conditions that enable efficient service completion while minimizing disruption, ensuring your system performs at its peak.

Professional air duct cleaning takes a fixed duration of two to five hours, depending on the home’s size and the complexity of the duct system. Smaller residences with standard ductwork complete the service in two hours, while larger homes with extensive ducts require up to five hours. Additional repairs may extend this duration.

To prepare for professional air duct cleaning, ensure all vents are unobstructed by moving nearby furniture and clearing pathways. Secure any pets in a safe area and confirm that your HVAC system units are easily accessible for technician inspection. Proper preparation contributes to a higher quality service outcome and prevents delays, allowing the cleaning process to proceed efficiently.
