"Hello, I hired Elite Home Services through Angi. I requested an HVAC duct cleaning. Initially, they provided me with a quote for regular cleaning for $199. After they also performed sensitization and charged me $200 more. They charged me $399 completely, which is way more for this service. I also had a quote for the same service, which was $350. They claim that they did the deep clean, but it was only sanitization. So basically, they charge me for the service that they did not provide."

"Needed my dryer vent cleaned. When Ned called I explained to him that I had two 90 degree angles. He assured me he had all the equipment needed to handle this job. When the two men arrived my husband showed them a picture of the two angles in the vent. One guy didn't speak english and walked away. Didn't even want to look at the picture. The other guy who spoke limited english just told us to call his boss. We told him his boss had already assured us they could do the job. Now for all the equipment they brought - a generator that they couldn't even get started. We have an outlet out back and told them to use it. They then just put a small hose in the vent which was blowing air. I was in the closet with the dryer and could hear the hose as it came in. It stopped at the first angle and couldn't bend to go any further. They then left. I was also told that they would bag up any lint that came out on the lawn. Big surprise - there wasn't any. My vent is still clogged."

"They had to come out twice to do cleaning as after the first attempt there were still many stains on furniture. There were still stains after second cleaning so maybe they were permanent. In the future, communicating that residual stains are probably permanent would change our perspective from the service being deficient to the stains being indelible."

David, the technician/owner arrived right on time, was respectful of my home and made it a point to keep everything clean while he worked. He pointed out a couple things I wouldn't have known about otherwise (like a disconnected vent in the basement ). He said i would notice a difference in air quality after the cleaning and he was right! There's less dust around the house and the airflow seems stronger from my vents. "hired Chimney and Duct Experts based on their reviews on Google and Angis list to address a potential problem with a roof leak near my chimney. They quickly determined the flashing of my chimney was probably the reason for the leak, so they gave me a quote to rebuild the chimney flashing for $1300. They were able to do the work that same day, which I thought was great. However, the leak continued, so I moved on to roofers to help figure out the problem. I had 5 different roofing and repair companies come out, and each one said that the flashing on the chimney was terribly done, using a sealant instead of metal step flashing as is standard. I called back Chimney and Duct Experts and spoke with a supervisor. He agreed to come and redo the flashing, but insisted that fully rebuilding the flashing is only done when you get a new roof. Ended up being incorrectly done again, and I'll have to pay someone now to fix it correctly."
