"We recently hired Tim to complete brick finishes on both an interior and exterior space, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. The craftsmanship was excellent, the lines were clean, and the finished product looks fantastic. He was reliable, professional, and easy to work with throughout the process. We would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for quality brick work."

"We had a great experience with Scenic Green! Brian was incredibly thorough and took the time to walk us through every step of the backyard grading and grass seeding process. When some areas were slow to grow, he even came back to reseed without hesitation. Excellent communication and top-notch service—highly recommend!"

"Really disappointed in the entire experience with grounds quality lawn. Starting with just initiating the job, it took nearly a month to get responses from them and get someone out to start work. I only stuck with it at that point because a family friend said they were good but should have gone with my gut and found another company at that point. The guys they sent were constantly taking breaks and at one point the foreman even grabbed my fishing pole and spent about 30 min fishing while the remaining four watched him. This wouldn't have bothered me as much if the rate I was paying was more reasonable but they were charging me about $600 per hour for the 5 guys so these breaks and fishing sessions were costing me a lot of money. I voiced my concern with the project manager who just made excuses and cared not at all about what was going on. I asked to speak to owner Justin grounds who did the same. Just excused the behavior and had no problem with it whatsoever. All the while no one could explain why the hourly rate was so high when the guys were working so inefficiently. They kept saying the hourly rate was $60 per hour per crew member but charging me double that with no explanation. Not sure if I was just unlucky or if the company is getting complacent and resting on their reputation but I was very unimpressed and I am generally very easy going with these things and rarely complain about having bad service from anyone."

"Had water damage inside house. I had 2 other contractors come out. One said tuck pointing was needed to fix the problem. Other contractor said bay window roof and flashing at the brick and siding transition needed replaced. Boss of 2nd contractor later confirmed tuck pointing was needed and the roof and flashing work was not. Joey was the third person to check out my problem and he said tuck pointing and caulking was needed. He responds very quickly to set appointments for estimates and the actual work. He did a great job. He did not replace some bricks that the other contractor was going to replace, but Joey did the job for half the price. He caulked the 2 cracked bricks to keep water out."

"I was very pleased with the work Shane C Construction did on my chimney. They rebuilt the existing chimney replacing all the rotted wood and replaced the cap and completing it to look just like the original. They were careful to preserve the original siding so it could be reused and match the rest of the house. The team was very efficient and worked long hours to get the job completed before cold weather set in. They cleaned up every day so that there was no mess in the yard during construction. Communication was excellent as they informed me of their schedule and answered all questions as the job proceeded. The unit works and look great!"

FAQs for brick and stone patios, walks, and steps installation projects in Brownsburg, IN

When cleaning your flagstone patio, begin by gently hosing off loose dirt and debris. Use a mild solution of white vinegar and water or diluted dish soap to scrub the surface with a soft-bristled brush. Avoid using abrasive tools, such as wire brushes, as they can damage the stone’s seal and finish. This careful approach effectively removes mold and grime while preserving the natural beauty of your patio.

Flagstone naturally offers a neutral palette that includes shades of grey, black, red, yellow, brown, and tan, and its inherent color cannot be altered. Choosing varieties like bluestone provides a subtle bluish tint that complements many exterior designs. These natural hues enhance curb appeal and create a refined, timeless look in your outdoor space, ensuring a sophisticated finish with minimal upkeep.

Flagstone for a patio must have a minimum thickness of 1.5 inches to reliably support furniture and foot traffic. Using stone that is two to three inches thick is recommended to ensure lasting durability. The increased thickness prevents cracking under load and enhances long-term performance. Investing in thicker flagstone provides superior stability and resistance to weather conditions, ensuring your outdoor space remains both safe and attractive.

You can paint a flagstone patio by using a high-quality, outdoor elastomeric latex paint designed for heavy foot traffic. Painting not only refreshes the patio’s appearance but also creates a waterproof barrier that protects the stone from damage. Regular reapplication every one to two years maintains its durability and visual appeal, ensuring your patio remains both stylish and well-protected.
