"We are very happy with our project completed by Strong Tower. We needed work done on a remodel to include installing, finishing and painting drywall, installing floors, kitchen cabinets, shower and bath, and lighting. Carlos and his team worked diligently to complete the project well before our deadline. Carlos is very communicative and was great with keeping us informed on his progress and any obstacles he encountered. We are very happy with the quality of the team’s workmanship. They kept the home clean and in order after every day they worked. We previously hired them to install a new side porch as well as add a wire railing system on 3 porches, and we were also very happy with that. We highly recommend Strong Tower Home Improvements and look forward to working with them again!"

"I truly found a partner for my project. The cost was a commitment for me, but it seemed comparable to several other bids. And the partnership I sensed from the beginning of our interaction is what sold me on this company. The lead landscape architect, Van Anderson, listened to my ideas and needs, made suggestions, then promised to work with me throughout the process to make sure I was pleased. His team members were polite and friendly, extremely hard-working and punctual, and experts at their craft. I worked from home as they did THEIR work, so I was able to see how much thought and time they put into each step. My hardscape is gorgeous — better than I could have expected — and I'd recommend Waynesboro Landscaping for any project."

"After looking over the tree, he gave us a price, then returned with help and topped and then felled the tree. It was close to the house and to a small rail fence on the other side, and sections had to be dropped between the two. We had discussed whether they could just push the trunk down a steep hill behind the fence, which would have made the price lower, but we preferred to have it removed. he only small drawback in the job was that he did leave a big section of the trunk lying for several days before coming back to haul it away. However, it was a time of rather widespread wind damage in the area, and we had no particular objection to waiting while he did more urgent things, but since we hadn't used his company before we were a bit concerned that we weren't given a definite time that the job would be completed. <br />"

"They cut one of the wrong trees down and left one that should have been cut down.  When I contacted him about it he said that the tree that he did cut down was infested w/ ants.  One of the trees he topped off should have been topped off lower and evenly. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />The fertilizer didn't seem to do anything.  The fence line is still growing like crazy. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />I probably would not recommend him for service. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />"

"The job started under fair skys with excavation of the required area to build the wall.  Johnny Lester, the main man, was one earth moving master and although the soil removal was at times difficult to get the right position, Johhny handled it all with determination and accuracy.  The excavation took 2 complete days, and to be honest, I was actually surprised it was done that quickly. <br />      The wall building was carefully planned out before even attempting to lift a block into place.  Now, to be on the up and up, I had viewed some You Tube videos on retaining wall building because I wanted to know something about what my builder was going to try to sell me.  To his credit, his proposals agreed with what I had viewed, so I was fairly sure he knew what he was attempting to do. <br />     So, a trench was dug and filled with gravel, tamped down, and the 1st painstaking row of block laid down.  Never realized just how time consuming it is to get everything perfectly level side to side and front to back for a length of 59 feet with a 90 degree corner in the middle, but Johnny never hurried or lagged behind as the very 1st row is the most critical,,,,and he finished that 1st row in a single day, less in fact, because it had rained the night before and we had to wait a couple of hours for the area to dry out.  The remainder of the wall went up quickly at a pace of 2 to 3 courses a day plus the gravel drainage and packed dirt and reinforcing geogird every 2 courses.  This man worked hard, he worked harder than I ever thought possible. <br />      Overall, I was quoted 2 weeks from start to end, and if was 1 week and 6 days to be exact.  The wall came out just beautiful and I'd not find a worker more dedicated to the job.  <br /> <br /> <br />"

FAQs for interlocking pavers for driveways & floors installation projects in Brownsburg, VA

With proper maintenance, permeable pavement can last for over 20 years. Bi-annual vacuuming prevents clogs from debris and sediment, extends the pavement’s lifespan, and helps you avoid costly driveway repairs. Permeable pavement often has a shorter lifespan in areas with heavy traffic or harsh weather conditions.

Pervious and porous usually refer to pouring asphalt or concrete—which is a single massive object—but with enough small holes to allow for even drainage. This is also sometimes called thirsty concrete. Permeable concrete pavers are precast concrete designed to also allow for drainage. Permeable grass pavers allow grass to grow through them and provide drainage.

Pervious, porous, and permeable pavers are similar because they make it easier for rain or snow to drain or absorb into the ground rather than overload the storm or sewer systems.

The most significant benefit of water-permeable pavement is that it helps precipitation absorb better (and slower) into the ground, which avoids overloading sewers and causing overflows and backups. It also helps recharge the groundwater and prevent agricultural runoff from lawns.

If you’ve ever seen water rushing into a storm drain, permeable pavement prevents that. Instead of water running off a steep driveway, a good amount of it “soaks” directly underneath the pavement.

Topmix permeable concrete costs $8 to $16 per square foot, including all installation costs. However, they give out estimates on a project-by-project basis. However, Tarmac, the company that made the product, no longer produces Topmix.

Ecoraster is a brand that offers many different permeable paving options in North America. Prices vary depending on the product and project. They’ll give estimates for each individual project. While not actual pavers, these grids serve a similar function. Ecoraster grids come in various styles and allow for similar drainage compared to permeable pavers or porous paving.

Permeable driveways may cost slightly more than a traditional paving type, but they reduce or eliminate the need to install any other type of drainage system. Drainage systems cost $2,000 to $6,500 to install. They also reduce stormwater runoff, sewer overflows, and help eliminate urban agriculture runoff, which can pollute waterways.
