"We had PVT Ryans Landscaping at our home in Zelienopleâ ¦yes he will travel to help you with your landscaping project. He and his crew certainly fulfilled his mission of pride, professionalism and reasonable (great) prices. We had a number of different projects from planting, mulching, tree removal and edging. We were so pleased, particularly with his pricing, we asked for a quote on a much bigger projectâ ¦edging stones throughout our property. Whether a big or small project, PVT Ryan will report for duty and exceed your landscape expectations."

"Engineered Foundation Solutions was a pleasure to work with, from the owners Bob and Jeff who performed the inspection and planning, to Shannon who coordinated the project and kept in weekly contact, to Brian who oversaw the work, and his crew. They were professional, courteous, informative and hard workers. They completed the job on time despite a few surprises underground, rain, and a holiday weekend. The price they quoted was a little higher than the other two estimates we received, but the degree of expertise and professionalism was well worth that price, particularly for an expensive and long lasting investment in our home. I wish they did all things house related, I would hire them for everything."

"Josh and his crew and machinery did a great job. The five men were skilled, friendly, and hard-working, with several big and costly construction machines to do the work properly. They dug and cut-out three tree roots that were causing humps that become dangerous ice ponds in the winter. The finished driveway looks great. Lovell was not the lowest-cost bidder, but I had more confidence in his explanation of what was required. I am pleased with the work and the final cost."

"Adam did a great job with all installations and repairs required of him. He was knowledgeable, professional and willing to do what ever he was asked to install or repair. Offered different options on how to do each item listed. I was very pleased with his work and wouldn't hesitate recommending Adam's work."

"Mike is a true professional.  He has been doing this kind of work for a number of years and it was obvious he knew his work once he began.  He works with one other employee and both of them were diligent in starting and completing the work.  I built the original wall and it took me about 2 months, and it the end it was a work I would not ever do again by myself, considering the engineering required and the liftng of blocks. <br />"

"Wertz & Company did an excellent job. Were on time and even worked in the rain. Crew were exceptionally hard working...did their job right the first time. They were on time, cleaned up after themselves. Bill their foreman was on the job to make sure everything went smoothly each day. Since I am a widow and this was my first major construction project... I cannot say how grateful I am to everyone, from the owner Rob, to the office staff, to Bill the foreman and to the workers that completed my job!! Thank you everyone for making this a stress free experience!! Sue"

FAQs for brick and stone patios, walks, and steps installation projects in Brownsville, PA

When cleaning your flagstone patio, begin by gently hosing off loose dirt and debris. Use a mild solution of white vinegar and water or diluted dish soap to scrub the surface with a soft-bristled brush. Avoid using abrasive tools, such as wire brushes, as they can damage the stone’s seal and finish. This careful approach effectively removes mold and grime while preserving the natural beauty of your patio.

Flagstone naturally offers a neutral palette that includes shades of grey, black, red, yellow, brown, and tan, and its inherent color cannot be altered. Choosing varieties like bluestone provides a subtle bluish tint that complements many exterior designs. These natural hues enhance curb appeal and create a refined, timeless look in your outdoor space, ensuring a sophisticated finish with minimal upkeep.

Flagstone for a patio must have a minimum thickness of 1.5 inches to reliably support furniture and foot traffic. Using stone that is two to three inches thick is recommended to ensure lasting durability. The increased thickness prevents cracking under load and enhances long-term performance. Investing in thicker flagstone provides superior stability and resistance to weather conditions, ensuring your outdoor space remains both safe and attractive.

You can paint a flagstone patio by using a high-quality, outdoor elastomeric latex paint designed for heavy foot traffic. Painting not only refreshes the patio’s appearance but also creates a waterproof barrier that protects the stone from damage. Regular reapplication every one to two years maintains its durability and visual appeal, ensuring your patio remains both stylish and well-protected.
