"Gary was very responsive when I called him. He had his men fix a leak over the kitchen ceiling. He also made several suggestions as to other repairs that needed attention on the roof. I was already aware of these other roof issues, since when I bought the house the inspector did report several items that needed attention. Gary took care of all potential problems and did a great job. I hope I don't need him for a long time, but if I do, I will definitely call him again. <br />"

"For a variety of reasons, we did 1/2 the roof. This was a mutual consensus with the roofing company who wanted to be sure that we got what we needed, but they didn't push us to do more than we needed/felt comfortable with doing. Workers were polite and professional. The estimator was thorough and answered all of our questions transparently and with an obvious depth of knowledge about the business. No one wants to redo a roof and it's not cheap, but we got very good quality for the price point so we are very satisfied. We did have about 10 estimates as we struggled with the idea of repair vs. replacement so I feel pretty confident that we paid a fair price. There are a number of factors that go into it the under layment that determine the price, but comparing apples to apples....Johnson was on the lower end of the estimates. We did go for a quality product, but once again, we were not pushed or shamed into upgrading. The options were presented and this is the one we felt most comfortable choosing."

"Highly Recommend Arizona Shingle Pros! Arizona Shingle Pros is truly a great company that exceeded our expectations. From start to finish, their professionalism and dedication were evident. Mike was incredibly helpful, taking the time to understand our roofing needs thoroughly and explaining everything in detail. His expertise was truly appreciated. Kennedy was awesome when it came to scheduling. She kept us well-informed, clearly communicating what we needed to expect every step of the way, which made the process seamless. During the installation, Jr, the leadman on the roof, maintained excellent communication. He even sent pictures of the progress, which gave us great peace of mind. The entire crew was very professional and did an outstanding job, including a meticulous cleanup after the work was completed. We are extremely impressed with their professionalism and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Arizona Shingle Pros highly to anyone needing roofing services!"

"<p>The estimator, James, was very pleasant, thorough, and did a great job of explaining what was needed to repair our roof.  His quoted work was in line with the damage that we were aware of, i.e., he did not add any work that was not necessary.  We thought that the quoted cost was reasonable considering the amount of work to be done and decided to go with Roofstar.  We are happy that we did.  Juan Diaz and his crew did an outstanding job with the repair and cleanup.  Everything was accomplished per the quote and at the quoted price.  We are very happy and will recommend Roofstar to any neighbors needing roof work.</p>"

"Couldn't have gone better. From Veronica in the office to Chad Thomas, the owner, this company is the most pleasant, professional, and responsive service firm I've ever dealt with in my 45 years in the Valley. Although the job was very small in scope, it was fixed immediately. That's not what you can expect today, or even in "the good old days". I will recommend these guys whenever and as often as I can. Can't say enough about them and their excellent work and honesty. One of a kind company. Indeed!"

"Great. I had a small roof leak on our roof and a broken tile that needed to be fixed. I was having problems getting roofers who would fix a small area. Most want to do the whole roof and were backed up for a couple months. Earl Clark Roofing came out to inspect the job and said they could do it. It was a rainy day so they came back two days later and fixed and roof and tile."

"really fast, personable, and complete. Took 2 trips to see what he needed to repair, then find tiles to match our 24 year old house, the come back and finish the repairs. I'm always pleasantly surprised by what he charges. Very fair."

"AZ Roofing was timely, professional and courteous while re-roofing a portion of my roof. Initially there was some confusion as to the scope of the work but AZ Roofing stood by there original estimate and did an excellent job installing the roof. I would recommend them to others if you need a new roof or like me just a repair."

FAQs for roofing installation & roof repair projects in Buckeye, AZ

An average Cape Cod roof-raising project requires approximately two to three months from start to finish. The timeline depends on several variables, including weather conditions, contractor availability, material delivery schedules, and the specific complexity of your home's structure. The process involves multiple phases, including demolition, framing, roofing, window installation, and interior finishing. Working with an experienced contractor who provides a detailed timeline can help set realistic expectations for the project duration.

While most Cape Cod homes can accommodate roof-raising modifications, each house requires individual structural assessment. Older homes may need foundation reinforcement or wall strengthening before supporting additional weight. Factors like the existing roof framing system, load-bearing wall placement, and overall structural integrity all influence feasibility. A qualified structural engineer should evaluate your specific property before proceeding with design plans. Additionally, local zoning ordinances may restrict maximum building height or architectural modifications in certain neighborhoods.

Temporary relocation is highly recommended during a Cape Cod roof raising project. The construction process involves removing portions of your existing roof, exposing interior spaces to potential weather damage, and creating significant noise and dust. Most homeowners find temporary accommodations for the two to three-month construction period, with relocation costs ranging from $2,000 to $6,000, depending on your housing choices. If staying with family or friends isn't possible, budget for short-term rental or extended-stay hotel expenses as part of your overall project cost.

Consider roof raising when you experience severely limited headroom throughout the second floor, find yourself constantly stooping under sloped ceilings, or have minimal usable floor space due to low ceiling heights. Other indicators include inadequate natural light, poor ventilation, and difficulty accommodating standard furniture in upstairs rooms. Simple renovations can improve an attic's appearance, but cannot create additional headroom without structural modifications. A complete roof-raising project makes more sense than cosmetic renovations if you're seeking genuine second-floor living space rather than just storage improvements.

Begin your search by seeking contractors with specific experience in Cape Cod structural modifications and dormer additions. Request detailed portfolios showing similar completed projects and ask for references from previous clients with comparable work. Verify that potential contractors hold appropriate licenses and insurance coverage and understand local building codes relevant to roof raising. Interview multiple candidates, comparing price quotes and their communication style, project approach, and proposed timeline. The ideal contractor should demonstrate a thorough understanding of Cape Cod architectural characteristics and structural requirements.
