"Phil has more knowledge about the landscape in AZ then most of the landscapers. How refreshing to have that much knowledge to work with. Made my job easier to take care of my property!"

"Extremely prompt and professional landscaping crew. Carlos is very knowledgeable offering ideas without being pushy or overbearing. He pointed out a conspicuous problem with our sprinkler system that could have inadvertently cut water to our plants. I wouldn't have seen it until plants started dying... Thanks for your expert service and know-how!"

Overall:

The company is simply unable to communicate. After the contract was signed, they did not return phone calls or emails. I could only find out what was going on when they happened to be in the office. I only happened to find out they were starting on a Friday when I called them late Thursday afternoon. I was never sure when they were coming or if they were coming.

99% of the project was completed 4 weeks ago. The only thing left to do is paint the landscaping walls they built. It clearly says on my plans that they created that the walls would be painted to match the house. They said they would be back in two weeks after the walls' stucco had dried. 4 weeks later I still have unpainted walls.

We've had rain, so I'm willing to understand a delay. But they will not return my phone calls. When they do answer, that person can't answer the question. She'll have someone call me back. The next day no one calls back and no one answers the phone.

I made the mistake of paying them with a credit card and believing that they would actually be back in two weeks to finish the painting. They are licensed and I will be filing a complaint against their license. It's not so much the cost of the paint that bothers me. It's the unwillingness of a company supposedly certified by Angie's List to even make the effort to return phones.

It's too bad. Most of the work they did was rather good. The pavers were done well. We were misled on where the pavers would go. One of the plants died because there was no drip outlet installed at that location. They didn't remove the lawn thoroughly nor put a weed barrier down. Now I'm fight Bermuda grass growing through the rocks.  They didn't cap off one of the existing sprinkler lines under the pavers which had me panicking about a sprinkler leak until I figured out what they did. They also cut the existing sprinkler controller wire which I now have to replace.

But the worst thing is.....they just won't call you back.

"E & S responded very quickly to our Angies list post, was out the next day to survey the job, gave us a very reasonable quote the next day and we decided to hire them two days later. They rototilled our existing "lawn" and had sod laid three days later. The whole process took only 12 days from request to completion. I would use them again for any of the services they provide."
