"Coastal Landscape Construction is such a great company! They came out to my house, gave me an estimate on a patio I wanted done and completed it in a week! The patio turned out amazing and they are such kind and hardworking individuals that take pride in their work! "

"The services were performed very well. One glitch- a gazing ball was broken during cleanup, but the company replaced it with precisely the same gazing ball at no charge to me. The estimate was nearly spot on- only about 100.00 over. The work was professional and neat. Trimmings, weeds, branches etc were cleaned up. The garden was edged. Even my wisteria got a facelift and a new pole to climb. My raised garden and gate were fixed. It looks great! I would use this company again. You get what you pay for here."

"Mark's crew showed up very promptly and they worked for several days to finish the project.  We love our new seating area and are thrilled to be able to sit on our bench watch the birds in the trees. <br />"

"<p>After providing a detailed quote, Michael Worden stayed in touch and provided detailed description of proposed work.  This was a modification to an existing asphalt driveway to include a new ramp and extension for a detached 2-car garage.  Some excavation and patching work also had to be performed.  The project was done as scheduled in one-day and we are very pleased with the results.</p> <br />"

"Their work is inconsistent, actually now that I think about it last year when I first hired them they were competent through out the cutting season.  But this 'lawn season' (2012) has not been the quality of work I had last year.   I had to call them to start this spring and their work has been sloppy...uncut patches (different places each time), clean up is messy, occasionally they carelessly cut some of my flowers and they cut the grass too short. <br />"

"For both projects, we were impressed by the quality of the work and the professionalism of the workers.  For the larger landscaping project, the team worked tirelessly for many days, even coming some Saturdays as necessary to keep things moving forward.  For the spring clean-up, due to some time constraints on our end, they had two teams come in a single day and pretty much transformed all the beds around our house - it looked fantastic by the end of the day.   They are not cheap, but not the most expensive either.  But they do high quality, timely work, and Zeke is great to deal with. <br />"

FAQs for interlocking pavers for driveways & floors installation projects in Buckingham, VA

With proper maintenance, permeable pavement can last for over 20 years. Bi-annual vacuuming prevents clogs from debris and sediment, extends the pavement’s lifespan, and helps you avoid costly driveway repairs. Permeable pavement often has a shorter lifespan in areas with heavy traffic or harsh weather conditions.

Pervious and porous usually refer to pouring asphalt or concrete—which is a single massive object—but with enough small holes to allow for even drainage. This is also sometimes called thirsty concrete. Permeable concrete pavers are precast concrete designed to also allow for drainage. Permeable grass pavers allow grass to grow through them and provide drainage.

Pervious, porous, and permeable pavers are similar because they make it easier for rain or snow to drain or absorb into the ground rather than overload the storm or sewer systems.

The most significant benefit of water-permeable pavement is that it helps precipitation absorb better (and slower) into the ground, which avoids overloading sewers and causing overflows and backups. It also helps recharge the groundwater and prevent agricultural runoff from lawns.

If you’ve ever seen water rushing into a storm drain, permeable pavement prevents that. Instead of water running off a steep driveway, a good amount of it “soaks” directly underneath the pavement.

Topmix permeable concrete costs $8 to $16 per square foot, including all installation costs. However, they give out estimates on a project-by-project basis. However, Tarmac, the company that made the product, no longer produces Topmix.

Ecoraster is a brand that offers many different permeable paving options in North America. Prices vary depending on the product and project. They’ll give estimates for each individual project. While not actual pavers, these grids serve a similar function. Ecoraster grids come in various styles and allow for similar drainage compared to permeable pavers or porous paving.

Permeable driveways may cost slightly more than a traditional paving type, but they reduce or eliminate the need to install any other type of drainage system. Drainage systems cost $2,000 to $6,500 to install. They also reduce stormwater runoff, sewer overflows, and help eliminate urban agriculture runoff, which can pollute waterways.
