"E & M Total Homes is an up and coming company that installed a stamped patio for us. Sean was on top of direct communication with me regarding this project. His right hand, Kyle was very knowledgeable about his skill. I'd highly recommend this company for anyone who is looking to install a stamped patio."

"Mark was incredibly responsive over phone and email. He provided an itemized estimate and even when a few surprises popped up during the work, he did not charge us more. Mark replaced a number of indoor and outdoor lighting fixtures, including the removal of two ceiling fans. He also replaced two bathroom fans. One of the integrated LED lights we had purchased ended up being a dud. Once we bought a replacement, Mark offered to stop by to install it free of charge, even though the bad light was not his fault (we had purchased it on our own). My wife and I were incredibly impressed with this gesture. Mark is a really nice guy and very professional. We plan to refer our friends and family to Power Play Electric. We highly recommend!"

"Excellent, no problems. My car was new the first year I used the service and there has never been any damage during the transports. The men picking up and delivering the car have always been pleasant and cooperative. Both Ely and Guy at United Transport has been highly responsive to my needs. I would highly recommend this company."

"We hired Jeff and his crew twice within the last year and a half. The first time was to paint the inside of our garage and the second was to paint the interior of our house. Each time the work was flawless! Jeff and his crew do quality work at a fair price. They are very professional, neat and a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend them, and I will definitely use them again."

"As we expected DALLEN completed the work we needed done to our gutters and fascia in a timely efficient manner, and for a reasonable price. I never hesitate to contact Martin when we need something replaced or repaired on the outside of our home. This was not a big job but an important one and we were happy to be able to count on them once again."

FAQs for remodel to accommodate a disability projects in Buffalo, NY

Standard Medicare coverage often doesn't extend to home modifications, such as roll-in showers. In specific circumstances where medical necessity is clearly established, limited coverage might be available through certain Medicare programs. Many homeowners explore alternative funding sources such as home modification grants, veterans' benefits, or specialized financing programs designed for accessibility improvements. Consulting with a Medicare representative about your specific situation provides the most accurate guidance.

Roll-in showers deliver significant benefits beyond their monetary return, particularly in terms of safety, independence, and long-term accessibility. By eliminating barriers to bathing, these installations help prevent falls while accommodating mobility devices, such as wheelchairs or walkers. Their open design creates a contemporary appearance that appeals to many homebuyers. For households planning to age in place or accommodate family members with mobility challenges, the functional advantages often outweigh pure financial considerations.

A standard roll-in shower installation takes two to four days. Projects requiring extensive renovation or plumbing changes may take longer, potentially extending to several weeks or months. Factors affecting the timeline include existing bathroom configuration, permit processing times, contractor availability, and material delivery schedules. Creating proper drainage slopes often requires additional preparation time compared to traditional shower installations, particularly when modifying existing floor structures.
