"Tom from Synergy did the bid for under cabinet lighting install, however sent someone else to do the job. Originally discussed with Tom that he would use a regular converter box inside the cabinet and place a dimmer switch on the wall, but the other guy he sent wasn't aware of this and placed the dimmer converter in the cabinet. This has resulted in us having to use the dimmer switch inside the cabinet instead of on a wall switch -- not what I requested. Also, I discussed with Tom installing an additional outlet in our kitchen during the bid process. After he left I noticed he did not include that on the written bid. The guy he sent didn't know about it either. The outlet was installed however. Overall, I was charged $95 additional over the bid and didn't get exactly what I wanted in regard to the dimmer switch for under cabinet lighting. Both electricians were very nice and professional, but there was definitely a communication problem in regard to the installation of the under cabinet lighting. Perhaps I should have clarified the issue more strongly, or perhaps I didn't understand. Either way, I'm happy with the lighting overall, but not 100%."

"Alex with Just Rite Electric came to my home because I needed a 240 V outlet ran and installed. Before he came I had a different electrician come and quote me. The first electrician was willing to do the job but failed to be honest about the danger due to the FPE Stab-Lok breaker I had. I decided to contact Just Rite Electric for a second opinion mainly to see the price difference. When Alex from Just Rite Electric came and saw the FPE Stab-Lok breaker I had in my home, he was 100% honest about the danger these could cause. He said he would not install what I needed because he was not willing to put my family and home in danger. He provided me with links that gave me information about how many fires, deaths and property damage these can cause. I was thankful for this information because I believe we all underestimate the fire hazards we may have in our homes. He was also personable, professional, informative and respectful. "We had a massive leak in the shower of the guest bathroom. Since plumbing was one of the systems covered by our warranty with choice, I went on-line and filed a claim. I git an immediate response assigning me a claim number for reference and later that day received an appointment notice....GREAT customer service. The plumber arrived, at the time specified, and was immediately able to pin point the problem. (a defective shower cartridge) I have used Choice Home Warranty multiple times as my home ages and they pay for the replacement parts if needed. My "deductible" is a $45 fixed rate for the service call, no matter how long, or complicated the repair is. I absolutely am delighted with the customer service, fast response, low cost of a service visit, and NO surprises, or "fine print" excuses regarding coverage. They provide a list, in writing, of what is covered and what is not and do not deviate so I make sure my problem is on the list before filing a claim."

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."
