"My job had many facets as I was selling the home. Dan bid all the work in a timely manner, handled all repairs structural and punch list on time and on budget. He documented all structural repairs with photos. Dan advised on how to proceed on repairs after the structural engineer had given his report. I had water damage that involved ripping the entire bath tub area and sub floor out with structural studs needing replacement. We never met face to face only by phone and email. Dan is honest true to his word and was a pleasure to work with. I would hire him again and again. My phone calls were always returned bids accurate and on time, job completed as scheduled."

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."

What my handyman service does is specializes in those small odds and ends jobs that are too small for a regular contractor to deal with. Really there is no job too small that I can’t take care of. For jobs like hanging pictures, mounting a flat screen TV, repairing that bedroom or kitchen cabinet door that won’t close, stopping that runny faucet, fixing a hole in a wall or repairing that sagging gate I am the one to call. I generally charge one flat fee for showing up which includes your first hour of repair and then I charge an hourly fee after that. Make a list and get several small things done at one time. What I don’t do is major remodels or repairs that take days. That’s when you call a general contractor that specializes in those jobs. "The best part were the installers. They did a great job installing and cleaning up after the job. The part I had a problem with, was Andrew didn't communicate with me on the order status. When we ordered the windows (during Covid) the first week of June, the sales guys said it would be 5 weeks. After 8 weeks I called Andrew. His voice mail was full, and I couldn't get in contact with him. I went to the office and no one was there that day. The next week I went by the office again. I was able to talk to the office gal and after that Andrew called me and said windows were coming in August. When the windows were finally getting installed they realized two of the windows came in the wrong size! So they reordered them and another 5 weeks of waiting. So finely the last week of October the last two windows were installed. Needless to say it was a very frustrating experience. Just need to communicate better, the product is a good quality product."
