"The owner was a hard worker and diligent when s here. He over booked himself. So he leave the job unfinished, and go to the next job . He did not returned to complete the job. Its been August, September, October 2025. The work started at the end of July. He asked for payment before He completed the job. His experienced as a carpenter was not good enough. "At this point, the paver work has been completed to our immense satisfaction. This included removing an existing exposed aggregate patio, and building a new paver patio with walkways.  (Eventually, we will have lots of stuff done by the same folks and we will try to report on it as it goes along.)   Work was done timely, crew was good to work with, and it was apparent that they were focused on doing the best job that they knew how.  There was a little bit of a timing conflict between Summerco and another contractor we had working on another phase of the project, but we found Summerco acted professional and reasonable all of the time.  The only real minor negative (and this was more my concern than my wife's) was that in early conversations, it didn't always sound that they knew what they were doing, and that everything was new to them.  While this was annoying to me in the early phases, it was clear from the work that they performed that they knew their stuff.  We have already had compliments from other trade people involved on other phases of the project about the quality of the paver work.  We are very pleased. <br /> As near as we could tell from quotes we got from other contractors (which is hard to evaluate, since all of the quotes came in a bit different in format, etc.) Summerco's prices were in line.  However, based on discussions with suppliers and others both in and outside of the area, they seemed a little high.  So, we've concluded that at this phase of the local market, landscaping contractors are a little on the high side.  Not a big problem. <br />"

"They were terrific. I don't have a dislike with them. The owner is Ken. He hires good people. They are very respectful and hard working. They don't smoke or curse, which was nice.  They show up and do the job. They asked me to look at it to be sure I was all right with it. They would tweak anything I asked them to tweak. They were great. I've already set up to use them next year. They will be my go-to company for work in my yard. It was a huge job. They created a pond and reworked my entire sprinkler system. They planted a couple of things and they laid down pavers. They just do about anything in a yard. They do work for the city in the parks so they are pretty broad reaching."

"It went well. The serviceman arrived when he said he would. I was not home when it occurred (my choice), but I was sent a detailed invoice with the services performed. I have been using Gisin for many years without any problem. I had a sprinkler and quot;stuckand quot; once and they were there within the hour. I have had nothing but excellent service. <br />"

FAQs for interlocking pavers for driveways & floors installation projects in Burley, ID

With proper maintenance, permeable pavement can last for over 20 years. Bi-annual vacuuming prevents clogs from debris and sediment, extends the pavement’s lifespan, and helps you avoid costly driveway repairs. Permeable pavement often has a shorter lifespan in areas with heavy traffic or harsh weather conditions.

Pervious and porous usually refer to pouring asphalt or concrete—which is a single massive object—but with enough small holes to allow for even drainage. This is also sometimes called thirsty concrete. Permeable concrete pavers are precast concrete designed to also allow for drainage. Permeable grass pavers allow grass to grow through them and provide drainage.

Pervious, porous, and permeable pavers are similar because they make it easier for rain or snow to drain or absorb into the ground rather than overload the storm or sewer systems.

The most significant benefit of water-permeable pavement is that it helps precipitation absorb better (and slower) into the ground, which avoids overloading sewers and causing overflows and backups. It also helps recharge the groundwater and prevent agricultural runoff from lawns.

If you’ve ever seen water rushing into a storm drain, permeable pavement prevents that. Instead of water running off a steep driveway, a good amount of it “soaks” directly underneath the pavement.

Topmix permeable concrete costs $8 to $16 per square foot, including all installation costs. However, they give out estimates on a project-by-project basis. However, Tarmac, the company that made the product, no longer produces Topmix.

Ecoraster is a brand that offers many different permeable paving options in North America. Prices vary depending on the product and project. They’ll give estimates for each individual project. While not actual pavers, these grids serve a similar function. Ecoraster grids come in various styles and allow for similar drainage compared to permeable pavers or porous paving.

Permeable driveways may cost slightly more than a traditional paving type, but they reduce or eliminate the need to install any other type of drainage system. Drainage systems cost $2,000 to $6,500 to install. They also reduce stormwater runoff, sewer overflows, and help eliminate urban agriculture runoff, which can pollute waterways.
