"Found Destre on Angi after another contractor came out and completely botched the job. Wanted to replace the weather stripping around rear patio door. The previous contractor ruined the bottom seal on the door and left us with a/c escaping and the flys and mosquitoes coming in. Called and spoke to Destre and he came out within an hour. Surveyed the damage and was off to Home Depot to get replacement parts. Could not find but resourcefully found a clear plastic one. Installed and all has been fine ever since. In speaking with Destre learned his experience in all types of home repair. The thing I liked best is he commented “I will not stop working until the job is completed to your satisfaction”. "Called Jim for this job because he had done prior work for me,and he impressed me with his excellent  skills and helpful attitude.
At the time he was working in New Orleans,and although he doesn't  service the Ponchatoula area, he agreed to go out of his way and stop by my house on his way home that evening. He lives in Mandeville more than 10 miles away. He checked out the shower and traveled 10 miles  to the nearest Home Depot for a part, found that they didn't carry it. He then told me he would get the part from another source and returned the next day, repaired the shower and once again left a very satisfied customer. I hope that if I need plumbing work in the future he will agree to come. He is knowledgeable, highly skilled and most of all a kind and caring professional.
