"I closed on my home in the afternoon on a Thursday and these guys were out there Friday morning, and by Friday evening had painted my whole home, and had started ripping up the carpet to place the new flooring. This entire job was completed in four days. They came back twice to fix two little painting spots I needed fixed and did so without complaint. My next home projects are already in the planning process with Woodworxâ s. The entire crew was polite, professional, and on time every day. I was kept updated with progress, and with any information that needed to be relayed back to me, was done so in a timely manner, so that I could make a decision as to which way to go. Unless they go out of business, I will never use another contractor."

Emperial Hardwood Floors is a family business owned by the husband-and-wife team of Ricky and Lori Core and is a Home Reports Best Pick for the fourteenth consecutive year. Emperial specializes in refinishing hardwood floors, installing solid strip flooring, and also re-coating hardwood floors. The company began serving Atlanta-area homeowners in 1979. Emperial is a small, customer-oriented business that can give its customers personal attention. We use the Bona Kemi dustless system, which cuts down on the dust by 90%. We also feather dust cabinets, countertops, and walls after job completion. In addition, we specialize in today's high-traffic finishes. These finishes are twice as strong as conventional polyurethanes, and they cure faster as well. The company carries both workers' compensation and liability insurance. Emperial also requires a 600-square-foot minimum and guarantees its work. We care about our customers and have a great deal of pride in the work that we do. Our goal is to make every customer happy, so that they refer us to their friends. That's how we built the business.

They have always performed their work in a professional manner, on-time and on-budget. Ricky normally oversees the office side of things (proposals, scheduling, coordination) and George manages the field side. Everyone is extremely easy to work with, know their profession and always try to please the client. We had a white-washed stain/finish applied to all our hardwood floors throughout the entire house (~2,400 sq.ft.). Ricky and George went the extra length to ensure this difficult job was technically doable and completed in a quality manner. We also had both front and rear staircases replaced with new tread/risers, newel posts and railings, and balusters replaced with decorative wrought iron. We could not have been more pleased with the outcome of all projects. We will use them on all future work, and highly recommend them."
