"Mike is very nice, professional and hard working. My home has an edible landscape in raised beds with bark chips and hardscaping covering any areas where there are no beds. Mike regularly clears weeds and engages in trimming and pruning to keep my fairly large residential property looking nice. He has also removed a few fruit trees that I formerly planted too close to a pergola. When he semi-dwarf fruit trees, be removes them clear to the ground and then digs out any remaining stumps and large tap roots so that the empty ground can have the existing soil improved so that the ground can have additional plantings later is so desired. Mike speaks broken English, but is very edept at using the Translate app on his phone so that we can have full and complete conversations together. I very much enjoy having mike and sometimes his wife coming to my home to engaging in landscaping projects and give them my highest recommendation without reservation. Mike has been working for me for about 3 years. I believe that he is honest and trustworthy and he cleans up after he is done so that the worksite looks much better than it did before he started. "We used Bartlett’s in 2017 and had a great experience. They were professional, responsive, and did a great job. In spring of 2020, we contacted them to trim some trees and take one out. Someone came out and we had a great discussion, and he said someone would call us in the fall. No one did. By the time we got someone on the phone, they couldn’t come until New Year’s Eve. When they did come out, they did the tree trim but took out the wrong tree- the one they took was an established rhododendron, instead of the scrub tree that clearly needed to go. They couldn’t do the stump removal because they hadn’t brought the right equipment. That meant another visit, and even then things were done wrong. It’s now been over a year since our original request, and the work STILL isn’t done. We’ve called at least 20 times, and although the receptionist is friendly and kind, no one ever calls back. I understand that 2020 was a mess, and we’ve been more than understanding. Not only will I not ever use them again, I will warn everyone I know against them. Find someone who might return a phone call."

"We have been customers of General Tree Services for years. A tree they perform routine maintenance fell on our roof. We didn't blame them for the fallen branch that punctured our roof, we simply wanted an estimate to get the branch off our roof so that we can proceed with the repair. A representative of this company came to give us an estimate and he was rude, and wanted me to sign a proposal that did not have the totals we had discussed. I mentioned that I do not like to sign contracts that do not estipulate a value and he said: "Well, this is how we do it, if you can't sign it, then you should look for someone else". I asked again if that meant he didn't want us to be repeating customers (Our oak needs treatments, and pruning, over the years we have spent over 10K on that tree) He said: "Do as you wish" This company also as per our recommendation "helped" a neighbor to deal with a fallen tree during last year's fires. They left the debris for weeks on the street. It took us too long to realize how expensive and incompetent they are. I just hope you don't make the same mistake as we did."
