"The repair job went WAY better than expected! Ronnie was wonderful! He was straightforward about the work they were doing. They discovered some unexpected areas that really needed addressed. He explained the situation and probably outcomes to me as well as his concerns. Although it ended up. being more money, it was my decision based on what he showed me. Well worth the extra money - my roof and chimney will never leak again. I am grateful for the quality of work that was done on my roof and chimney rebuild. Absolutely would recommend Joyland Roofing to anyone and everyone. Great guys, great price and great quality! Thanks for everything!"

"FIVE STARS FROM BEGINNING TO END!! I needed to have the shingles replaced on the rear portion of my roof. I scheduled 5 different roofers to come out to give me estimates. Jason was not only almost $2,000 cheaper than the others, he also pointed out some things that needed immediate attention on the front portion of my roof that nobody else had mentioned. He contacted me the week before letting me know that we were still on for the originally scheduled date and what to expect as it got closer. On the day of the install, Jason remained onsite while his large crew completed the job. When all was done I had a BEAUTIFUL new roof and my property was spotless!! You would have never believed that they were ever here!! I HIGHLY recommend Evans Quality Roofing and when it comes time to replace the front portion of my roof, I only need to make one call! Thank you Jason for a wonderful experience!!"

"We went to them because of all the roofing companies that we checked out; they're the only ones who came back to us in a timely manner.  They're very professional.  They get back to you right away.  They answer their phone when you call.  They came right over the next day for emergency call.  They're very honest and dependable."

"I called TKO roofing. BJ the owner of the company answered and I explained to him the problem I was having with my roof. It was a botched roofing job by another roofing company. He was able to come over that same day to take a look at the roof. He assessed the problem and told me what would be needed to fix it and the cost to fix it. I agreed to let his company do the repair. I told him there was no time restraint and he said he would have it repaired within two weeks. A week later he called and said that he was here to repair the roof. He was here from 9 till 3:30. I went out to look at the roof and was very pleasantly surprised. The shingles that he used matched up so close to the original ones that were 10 years old that you can't tell that several of the shingles around the chimney had to be replaced. He made sure that everything was cleaned up out of the yard. I want to say that BJ listened to all of my concerns. He was very professional and wanted to do a good job. I was highly satisfied with his work and would recommend him to anyone for any roofing work. I agreed to let him put a sign in my yard for his business. I would not do that if I didn't think he was a reputable and qualified contractor and to let others know that my experience with this company was what I hoped for."

"The roof itself appears to be well done. Cleaning on the inside of the building was horrible. Nails and boards all over the place. I found nails outside as well. Outside the huge holes in the lawn from their lift. I spent 25K on the job and expected more."

"B & E Roofing completed the removal and replacement of my 2500 sq ft roof in a single day, using our <br /> preferred shingles and perforated ?Deck Armor? underlayment.  The five-man crew was polite and careful to <br /> wear booties inside the house.  B & E?s Roofer Buggy was very impressive to watch.  <br /> It received the old roofing materials easily, as its hydraulic mechanism positioned it immediately under the eaves.  <br /> When finished, the Buggy was withdrawn, and the contents were deposited into a waiting dump truck. The shingles were delivered by a hydraulic arm directly to the roof with great efficiency, allowing the front roof section to be shingled while the <br /> back section was being stripped.  <br /> Although my home is 50 years old, the chimney flashing has never been satisfactory. They fixed this by fashioning a ?cricket? triangle that directs the flow of water around the chimney.  I tested it with a hose at full flow, and it managed the extra water easily.  <br /> They even made an extra trip to remove any remaining debris and nails. <br /> I can highly recommend B & E for Angie?s members.  They are efficient and up-to-date,  providing a great value to <br /> their customers. <br /> <br /> <br />"

FAQs for roofing installation & roof repair projects in Camp Hill, PA

An average Cape Cod roof-raising project requires approximately two to three months from start to finish. The timeline depends on several variables, including weather conditions, contractor availability, material delivery schedules, and the specific complexity of your home's structure. The process involves multiple phases, including demolition, framing, roofing, window installation, and interior finishing. Working with an experienced contractor who provides a detailed timeline can help set realistic expectations for the project duration.

While most Cape Cod homes can accommodate roof-raising modifications, each house requires individual structural assessment. Older homes may need foundation reinforcement or wall strengthening before supporting additional weight. Factors like the existing roof framing system, load-bearing wall placement, and overall structural integrity all influence feasibility. A qualified structural engineer should evaluate your specific property before proceeding with design plans. Additionally, local zoning ordinances may restrict maximum building height or architectural modifications in certain neighborhoods.

Temporary relocation is highly recommended during a Cape Cod roof raising project. The construction process involves removing portions of your existing roof, exposing interior spaces to potential weather damage, and creating significant noise and dust. Most homeowners find temporary accommodations for the two to three-month construction period, with relocation costs ranging from $2,000 to $6,000, depending on your housing choices. If staying with family or friends isn't possible, budget for short-term rental or extended-stay hotel expenses as part of your overall project cost.

Consider roof raising when you experience severely limited headroom throughout the second floor, find yourself constantly stooping under sloped ceilings, or have minimal usable floor space due to low ceiling heights. Other indicators include inadequate natural light, poor ventilation, and difficulty accommodating standard furniture in upstairs rooms. Simple renovations can improve an attic's appearance, but cannot create additional headroom without structural modifications. A complete roof-raising project makes more sense than cosmetic renovations if you're seeking genuine second-floor living space rather than just storage improvements.

Begin your search by seeking contractors with specific experience in Cape Cod structural modifications and dormer additions. Request detailed portfolios showing similar completed projects and ask for references from previous clients with comparable work. Verify that potential contractors hold appropriate licenses and insurance coverage and understand local building codes relevant to roof raising. Interview multiple candidates, comparing price quotes and their communication style, project approach, and proposed timeline. The ideal contractor should demonstrate a thorough understanding of Cape Cod architectural characteristics and structural requirements.
