"Luis and team were very responsive, professional, and did an excellent job on the roof and other repairs. They worked closely with the insurance company in order to get the claim approved and provide all of the necessary information including some needed supplements. I would highly recommend this company to anyone with roofing needs."

"Should up on time with the contracted material and finished in 2 days. Clean up was good only leaving a small box of stuff for me to collect. This is not a complaint but typical of most contractors I have hired. No supervision. A crew came out did the work but as far as I know no one checked on them. After the job was complete I was asked if they did a good job. I am in no way qualified to comment on a roofers work or a railing installer or plumber or a/c installer."

"Rick Razo and his crew at ATD Restoration did an awesome job with replacing my roof, painting my room (due to leak in roof) and repairing my son’s window. Everyone was knowledgeable and precise about the work that they did on my house. I would most definitely call them back to do more work on my house."

"Luis Perez from LEP Construction and Roofing did not only an amazing roof job for us, he was instrumental in fighting on our behalf to get the insurance company to reconsider their original claim settlement. Our home had a lot of hail damage, yet the insurance company only wanted to pay to cover minor repairs. I hope that never happens to you. Luis met our insurance claim agent and his roof inspector up on the roof and proved to them that the roof was severely damaged. They in turn agreed to update my claim and paid to cover the cost of a new roof. That paid for my Angie's list subscription for years to come! Thanks to Luis, we now have a new lifetime roof and custom 6" gutters and downspouts. His crews showed up on time and worked on our 2-story steep roof using safety harnesses. They completed things on schedule. I'm a former roofing business owner and retired roofing consultant and I can honestly say that Luis went well above and beyond to cover the nitty gritty application and waterproofing details that turn an Ok roofing job into a great job. Luis was very patient and very thorough and made sure to address any concerns we had about leak prone areas of the roof and installed upgraded components to make it the best roof possible. Having a professional fight for you can make all the difference. I would not hesitate to hire him again."

"Our house was a victim of the great hailstorm of 2017. We filed a claim and called Trademark Contractors. Sam Aldridge came out and handled everything. It was very obvious they are a company that operates with the highest levels of integrity and that is what means the most to me. (One of his first questions was "are you prepared to pay the deductible" whereas others were like [looking around shiftily]"we can just put a sign in your hard ... wink wink"]). Sam was always on time for appointments and always responded within a couple of hours to calls or texts. He is extremely knowledgeable of the process and kept us well-informed at all stages. Crews were excellent. We have a large house (4600+ sqft) but the roof was done in a day and a half. Our original insurance estimate missed a number of vital things and Sam handled "proving" to the insurance company what we needed. (For example, the gutters were quoted using standard guttering but we have Leafgard gutters. The original quote proposed re-using the glass on the skylights...crazy right? and he handled getting a letter explaining that the seals required full replacement.) Because of the storm, Trademark (and a lot of other vendors) were incredibly busy (our neighborhood was a "showroom for roofing companies") but we were taken care of very well. We would definitely use again. Seth"

"They are probably the largest roofing company in Anderson. They have been very good. They have high standard. The only question about that company now is that about six or eight months ago, the young owner of that company died suddenly of heart attack. The company is still operational, but I do not know exactly how it is being managed or run. I do not know if his family members or I do not know exactly who is running it. I still highly recommend the company based on their history or their past performance. What is in store for the company in the future, I do not know. I had great experiences with them in the past. If I am going to have roofing problems, I am still going to continue using them until I see deterioration in their service or whatever. I had to spend a thousand dollars for material and labor. They did a jammed-up job. They fixed it and the rates were very reasonable. They really knew what they were doing. That is what I like about a good company. If you have an issue like that like a roofing leak, they fixed it right the first time. Lenore initially was working with a company out of Charlotte and they sent two roofers out there twice and every time they came out to fix the leak, the roof leaked worse than it did before they came out. I am a firm believer in getting somebody that knows what they are doing and fixing it right the first time even if I have to pay more. I do not care if a contractor charges me more. I prefer getting a contractor that knows what they are doing and they are an expert in their field. I would use them again in the future if everything continues as it has in the past."

"I noticed a very small water spot on the ceiling of our bedroom. I went into the attic and saw damp OSB boards in 2 different sections near a ridge vent. I reviewed various roofing contractors in my area on AngiesList.com. I chose Garrett's Roofing in Roebuck because of their excellent ratings and reviews. Donald Garrett came out and inspected my my problem in the attic and then went on the roof to inspect the ridge vent. The ridge vent in question was not the biggest problem. After his inspection he showed me where the main 30 foot ridge vent across my house was pulling apart and flopping on the roof. <br /> Donald told me that the 4 ridge vents on my house were manufactured by a company that had many problems in recent years with their sectional plastic ridge vents pulling apart and coming loose at the seams thus initiating leaks. He said his company had replaced numerous ridge vents manufactured by this company. He stated that all of my ridge vents needed to be replaced and he thought he could get it done by the manufacturing company at no charge including his labor. He lined me up with a guy at the roofing supply store where my materials were purchased when my house was built 12 years ago. Through discussions with this guy I was indeed able to get my replacement ridge vents installed and capped at zero expense to me. I could not believe it. Also Donald did not charge me for coming out to inspect my roof that first day. <br /> Donald and his helper came out yesterday and did the work to my satisfaction. I highly recommend Donald Garrett and his family owned roofing company that has been in business through several generations. They are very professional and I was well pleased. If I had not called them, I would not have known the true extent of my problem and I would have probably spent around $650.00 out of pocket replacing materials proven to be defective by the manufacturer. Garrett Roofing will definitely do my next roof when the time comes. <br /> <strong>Roofing problems big or small, Garrett Roofing are the guys to call.<br /> </strong> <br /> <br />"

FAQs for roofing installation & roof repair projects in Campobello, SC

An average Cape Cod roof-raising project requires approximately two to three months from start to finish. The timeline depends on several variables, including weather conditions, contractor availability, material delivery schedules, and the specific complexity of your home's structure. The process involves multiple phases, including demolition, framing, roofing, window installation, and interior finishing. Working with an experienced contractor who provides a detailed timeline can help set realistic expectations for the project duration.

While most Cape Cod homes can accommodate roof-raising modifications, each house requires individual structural assessment. Older homes may need foundation reinforcement or wall strengthening before supporting additional weight. Factors like the existing roof framing system, load-bearing wall placement, and overall structural integrity all influence feasibility. A qualified structural engineer should evaluate your specific property before proceeding with design plans. Additionally, local zoning ordinances may restrict maximum building height or architectural modifications in certain neighborhoods.

Temporary relocation is highly recommended during a Cape Cod roof raising project. The construction process involves removing portions of your existing roof, exposing interior spaces to potential weather damage, and creating significant noise and dust. Most homeowners find temporary accommodations for the two to three-month construction period, with relocation costs ranging from $2,000 to $6,000, depending on your housing choices. If staying with family or friends isn't possible, budget for short-term rental or extended-stay hotel expenses as part of your overall project cost.

Consider roof raising when you experience severely limited headroom throughout the second floor, find yourself constantly stooping under sloped ceilings, or have minimal usable floor space due to low ceiling heights. Other indicators include inadequate natural light, poor ventilation, and difficulty accommodating standard furniture in upstairs rooms. Simple renovations can improve an attic's appearance, but cannot create additional headroom without structural modifications. A complete roof-raising project makes more sense than cosmetic renovations if you're seeking genuine second-floor living space rather than just storage improvements.

Begin your search by seeking contractors with specific experience in Cape Cod structural modifications and dormer additions. Request detailed portfolios showing similar completed projects and ask for references from previous clients with comparable work. Verify that potential contractors hold appropriate licenses and insurance coverage and understand local building codes relevant to roof raising. Interview multiple candidates, comparing price quotes and their communication style, project approach, and proposed timeline. The ideal contractor should demonstrate a thorough understanding of Cape Cod architectural characteristics and structural requirements.
