"Reyes Electric has great service and customer service. He is very professional at what he does and the price is very reasonable, very worth to pay for the electrical work he does. I recommend this company if you are looking to upgrade your electrical needs or if you need an emergency fix. This company has it!"

"I made contact with HA on Sunday 07/08/2018. I didn't expect to get a call back the same day but Chris w/ Ryder Electric called and he was able to schedule the next day. He showed up promptly at 7am on 07/09. After explaining my problems with damaged wires (due to squirrels in the attic) he and his helper jumped in and had the problems resolved in no time. I was very impressed with their work attitude, honesty and knowledge. Thanks Ryder!"

"Excellent customer service and work for adding electric to our fireplace to mount a TV. Craig was very responsive and had the job done in less than 48 hours. He even added a conduit (which I never would have thought of) in case we want to add more cables, audio, etc in the future. Pricing was very reasonable and accurate and he sent pictures of the job when it was done since we are not onsite (another above and beyond thought I didn't ask for). He will absolutely be my go-to electrician in the future."

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in Carbondale, CO

There are several telltale signs that your home is due for an electrical upgrade. You may need to rewire your house if your lights are constantly flickering or your circuit breaker keeps tripping. If you feel mild electric shocks when you touch light switches, hear buzzing sounds, or notice burning smells, you may need to rewire your house, too. Discolored or burnt-looking switches and faceplates are another crucial warning sign.

Properly installed copper wiring in a residential property can last as long as 50 to 100 years in some cases, but many homes over 30 years old are due for an upgrade. That’s the timeline that many experts recommend, even if it is only a partial update to accommodate technological advancements, increased power demands, and changing safety requirements.

At $3 to $5 per square foot, the cost to wire a 2,000-square-foot house ranges from $6,000 to $10,000, on average. This can depend on many factors, like the age and complexity of the house and how easy it is for contractors to access the areas they need to get the job done. Opening and repairing walls can further add to your total cost.
