"My experience with N.C. Cement exceeded my expectations. I had a lot of work done on my new construction home. I had over 5,000 square feet of exposed aggregate (pool deck, 2 round sitting areas and bands on sides of my driveway and the borders of my motor court) and it looks stunning! The way they do the exposed aggregate is so much nicer than any other exposed agg jobs that I’ve seen, especially considering the difficult slope I have in my driveway. The concrete looks beautiful with the exposed aggregate. Every neighbor or friend coming by our house stops and compliments our driveway. Kevin was very responsive and came out to give me an estimate.  I described the problem and he spent quite a bit of time analyzing it.  (I had peeling paint in an upstairs bedroom from water getting inside and some brick movement on the the fireplace surround.) "I helped my mom manage this project remotely since she doesn't use a computer. I live in California, she's in Southgate, Michigan. I chose Italy-American because of the consistently good ratings, both on Angie's List and at the BBB. Unfortunately, I was not present for the visits and installation, but my mom wanted to express her sincere satisfaction. They were understanding of her situation, and coordinated a meeting with my mom during which they spec'd out the project at hand (the railings) as well as possible future projects. They were clear and direct about the price, and took half up front. <br> <br>Installation was complete within a week or so, and they did a beautiful job. Extremely well crafted, and they matched the railings with her current fence and shutters. Compliments from all the neighbors. The price is a little steep for Downriver, but this is a classic case of "you get what you pay for." It shows in the craftsmanship, fairness, and service. <br> <br> <br>"

"The old chimney which was deteriorating was taken down. New bricks, cap, screen and flues were put in. <br /> Very punctual and informative.  Our neighbor's drive way was close to project and they made sure the neighbor knew that work would be done, and cars should be moved out of driveway.  They said it would take two days, and that is what it took. All questions were answered promptly. Workmen showed up on time. Finished chimney and porch column look very nice. Fireplace was used once after the project and everything worked correctly.  I would use this family owned company again for any masonry work.  Adam Williams was the spokesperson and salesman for this job and was there when the work was done. We thought the price was reasonable for the amount of work to be done. <br />"
