"I had a drywall disaster one Saturday night. I thought the drywall on the affected wall would need to be replaced. As a matter of fact I was told that much by a very knowledgeable person. So I went to angie’s list with the intention to find a drywall installer. MKD was one of the providers i selected. I did that at about 8 pm on that Saturday night. I then turned on my TV to watch a movie not expecting anything till at least Monday morning. In about 3 minutes I got contacted by MKD and after discussing my options, I was happy to learn that all was not lost and that they could do a miracle saving me from installing new drywall - a 2k endeavor. And guess what, they could do it Sunday morning! Wow. Mario showed up exactly on time. He was very patient and friendly throughout the whole proce . He worked for about 7 hours and did an AMAZING job. I also asked him to touch an area in the kitchen that had bothered me and my wife for months. He took care of that too. We were a very happy family that night indeed. Thank you, Mario!! I’m going to use MKD for all my painting and deywall needs!"

Taulant responded quickly through Angie’s List after I requested a quote and called me right away. He was courteous, came by the next day to inspect, and gave us a very competitive quote. We hired him, and he and his brother did a great job. They showed up on time, were discreet and professional, and finished the ceiling repair, drywall, and painting in two and a half days. Communication was smooth, and we were very happy with the results. Minimal paperwork made the process easy. The ceiling looks great, and they handled all the debris and cleaned up afterwards. "Matt and his team are the ultimate professionals. Matt spent hours with us recommending color choices for our living room, kitchen, main bathroom, hallway, master bedroom/bathroom and family room. His color consultation and choice of colors for the various rooms in our house was priceless. He mixed a custom color for the wall behind our bar. This took about 10 different formululations and turned out perfect. Our master bedroom had textured paint and ceilings that needed to be scraped/sanded down. Multiple coats of joint compound were applied to smooth out the walls. The team did a wonderful job and the walls turned out beautiful. He returned after we had carpeting installed in our master bedroom and touched up all of the marks from the installers. He went over our house with a fine tooth comb after the painting was completed and any imperfections that were found were fixed immediately. We highly recommend Matt and his team. We would absolutely hire again."

"Warning: Avoid FMP Builders Inc (Mikhail Fomin) of Schaumburg, IL at All Costs Hiring FMP Builders Inc, run by Mikhail Fomin, was the worst decision we ever made for our home. This contractor is an unprofessional, dishonest, and utterly incompetent individual who left our bathroom remodel in ruins, cost us thousands, and displayed deeply unsettling behavior. We contracted FMP Builders for a bathroom renovation, entrusting Mikhail with the project. From the start, he was a nightmare. He took over $3,000 upfront, only to vanish after two brief visits. The first visit was solely to collect our money, and the second was marked by inappropriate, creepy comments directed at my wife, making her feel unsafe in our own home. His conduct was unprofessional and downright disturbing. The work he did manage to start was catastrophic. He demolished parts of the bathroom, leaving it in a state of disarray with exposed fixtures, damaged walls, and debris everywhere. The little work done was shoddy and dangerous, requiring extensive repairs. It cost us nearly $5,000 to fix the disaster, including $2,000 just to undo the damage he caused. This doesn’t even account for the emotional toll of dealing with his endless lies and excuses. Mikhail’s excuses were as absurd as they were insulting. He claimed multiple times to have contracted COVID, and, unbelievably, stated that his grandmother had died-more than once! These transparent fabrications were clearly meant to dodge accountability and prolong his scam. He showed zero commitment to completing the job and no remorse for the chaos he left behind. FMP Builders Inc and Mikhail Fomin are a menace to homeowners. He is a liar, a creep, and a fraud who takes money, destroys property, and disappears. Save yourself the financial loss, stress, and potential safety risks, avoid this contractor at all costs! If you’re considering hiring him, run the other way and hire a reputable professional instead."
