"For the entire season, they charge close to a thousand dollars, between $900 and $1,000. They are great. They come at regular intervals and put down the different applications that the lawn needs. So, we never have to call or anything. It is just an automatic service that they do. Truthfully, I have not had much contact with them because sometimes I am not even here when it happens. I am usually not here or even if I am here, sometimes, I do not even know they have been outside. They leave something in my mailbox. What stands out about them is that they are just very reliable and they do the service that we need. I never had a problem. We did, at one point, have some tree service with them and that was great, but that was not a recent thing."

"East Coast Industries continues to provide us with excellent, dependable service. They've been taking care of our outdoors property for a number of years now, and we can always count on them to be responsive and provide high-quality work. The grass cutters oftentimes exceed our expectations by pulling out weeds (not required) or blowing debris off our driveway and deck. They are always courteous and respectful. <br /> The office manager, Aless, is exceptional. She's never failed to return our calls promptly, and she truly cares whether or not we're pleased with the services we receive. East Coast not only does our weekly grass-cutting but also our spring and fall cleanups and weeding and mulching as needed. They do a great job of plowing us out in the winter, too. We are retired and and quot;of an ageand quot; where we can no longer maintain our yard by ourselves. We might not be able to continue to live in our own home without their help, which is deeply appreciated. <br /> We can recommend East Coast Industries without reservation. <br />"

Hey, I'm Lance! I became a professional online portrait artist in 2006 after my family was taken from me in a tornado losing my mother, father, brother, and son. Twenty-eight lives were taken as well as all their possessions, like mine. I drew from destroyed photos their families so they could have memorial portraits of them at the funerals and for the rest of time. Since then I have made a living traveling the country doing shows and drawing from photos you email me on line. There is NO GIFT more unique that brings more tears of joy to a loved one's eyes like one of these. Nothing. I've seen it time and time again. I make it affordable to anyone who's ever wanted one of these. Paintings with half the detail of these can cost upwards of $30,000 limiting something like this from hanging in living rooms for families to the rich only. Not anymore. Here's how it works.. \n Simply email me your favorite picture or pictures to aarontristan39@gmail.com with a brief description of what you would like done. The bigger and clearer the picture the better the drawing. I will start an initial sketch right away and take pictures of it and show it to you. Please email them quickly if possible, because the holidays are coming and I get busy. Once the initial sketch is done. I usually take something down on it. It's a lot of work doing the initial sketch. This varies on the cost of the drawing which we will discuss right away. \n Drawings are usually 175 for 9x12's \n 225 for 11x14's \n 275 for 14x17's \n After this process is done I continue with your art piece sending you photos on line all the way through which many people find a lot of fun. I am also friends on Facebook with almost every person I've ever drawn for as well and would like to be your friend as well if you would like that. I post them on FB at your discretion. It makes me way more legit to people as well. \n The Prices vary with the art because of the size of the drawing as well as the number of faces. The number of faces DOES NOT double the cost. Usually an extra face is added depending on the size from anywhere between 25 and 50, but I do deals on these more than anything, so please call me about it at .(850) 691-3976

"He came out quickly after I called him to give me an estimate on the screen repairs and the other odd jobs that needed to be done. Both he and his assistant came on the day and time we agreed upon and took care of the tasks at hand in an efficient and timely manner. I am so happy to have found a handyman to tackle the small odd jobs that come up around the house from time to time. They did an excellent job, and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again or to recommend them to others. <br />"

"Dana only called us one time to notify us about the crack in one of the legs of one of our chairs. We approved the repair. Then we waited two weeks for an update which never occurred. My wife called him to ask him if the fabric had arrived and how the work was progressing. He advised my wife that the work was underway. I called him one week later to find out when our chairs would be completed. Dana who was very friendly during the initial sales visit, was curt during our brief telephone conversation. <br /> On the 27th day (June 9th, 2014), he called my wife from his vehicle at 6:34pm that he was and quot;just pulling out of Barrington, RI, to deliver our chairs. During our telecom, he advised me that he could deliver the chairs during the weekend, June 7th or June 8th. or alternatively on Monday or Tuesday, June 9th or June 10, 2014. When he delivered the upholstered chairs and seat pads, Dana was very uncommunicative and was unfriendly, unlike his behavior during his first visit. I asked him about the 5% Senior discount and he replied, and quot;I'm a seniorand quot; which I considered an inappropriate and sarcastic reply. The 5% is certainly not a deal breaker, but if he advertises a 5% discount on Angie's List, he should honor it. I notified Angie's list to remove the 5% discount because Dana Welshman does not honor it. When I elected to pay him with our Visa card, he did not have his merchant banking device to process my credit card. In fact, he didn't even have a pen to write down the details of my CC. My wife and I were surprised and chagrined about Mr. Welshman's behavior and his lack of interest in communicating with us during the work period. After I provided him with my credit card details, he failed to provide us with a detailed receipt for the work and repair. His behavior during the delivery of our chairs was strange. I would not recommend him to anyone because of his lack of business professionalism. <br />"

FAQs for holiday lighting add or remove projects in Carolina, RI

If climbing ladders or handling wiring isn’t in your comfort zone, hire a pro. Look for installers who post clear per-foot or hourly rates, carry insurance, and have solid reviews. Comparing at least three quotes helps you spot fair pricing without sacrificing safety. Skipping credentials to save a few dollars can cost you far more in repairs, so pick a qualified team and enjoy a safe, eye-catching display.

Yes, booking between February and September often scores lower rates because demand is light and pros have open calendars. You might even negotiate a discount package that includes removal or storage. If the budget is tight, ask whether a handyperson or an off-season permanent-light install makes sense for your home and timeline.

Determining the number of holiday lights for your house depends on your home’s size and specific decorative vision. Your project requires 10 to 20 light strands for a basic exterior display, with 100 lights allocated for eaves and an additional 10 to 20 bulbs for each awning.

For trees and substantial shrubs, allocate five to 10 strands per unit to achieve complete and balanced illumination across your property.

Tipping isn’t mandatory, but it’s a nice way to thank your installer for a job well done. Most homeowners offer 10% to 20% of the total bill or round up to an even figure if the crew exceeds expectations. A small extra goes a long way toward showing appreciation—and may help you snag priority booking next season.

Yes, you can install holiday lights yourself if your property layout is straightforward and your electrical system is secure. Homeowners who are confident in their ability to safely handle wiring and use proper equipment can save money with a DIY approach.

However, it is crucial to test all outlets thoroughly and secure the proper ladders and safety gear before starting. Careful planning and adherence to safety guidelines are essential to protect yourself and your home while achieving an attractive display.

Start by clearing the area of loose debris, damaged shingles, and anything that could trip you up. Test outdoor outlets and, if you’re unsure, bring in an electrician. Use a sturdy extension ladder (or scaffolding for very high spots) and never work alone—having a helper steady the ladder is non-negotiable. Taking these simple steps keeps you, your roof, and your new lights safe.
