"<p> How'd it go? We want all the details.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>Brandon and Allan came out to do the air ducts - they were personable, professional, punctual, and up front about what I could expect for the outcome. They made every effort to keep the condo clean while they worked.  I was very pleased with the service provided.  If that was the only service provided they would have gotten an A from me.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /></p> <p>Then Dave and Troy came out to do the upholstery and blinds for me.  They did vacuum the most of the blinds (they missed 2 in a bedroom) and cleaned the chairs and ottoman.  Everything seemed to be going fine until they left.  I found after they left that 2 of my blinds were no longer working and they had not informed me of the fact before they left. I called to report the problem and they sent another team out the next day.  They were misinformed about the type of blind they were sent to repair and could not do anything about my broken blinds.  However they did clean the missed blinds for me at no charge. </p> <p>They told me that Jesse would contact me about next steps to resolve my problem.  It took 2 weeks and another call from me to get a response.  They are now shipping my blinds out to Levelor for repair at no cost to me.  </p> <p>Everything they cleaned for me came out looking much better, as I had hoped.  Had they handled the problem we encountered in a forthright and timely manner I would have been able to say I was generally satisfied with the service.  I think I would probably hire them again to do work for me - give them one more chance.</p> <br />"

"We have used Kotz. They replaced our air conditioning and furnace and then, they service it. The price was fair. It is market. It is not a super sale or anything, but what you get there that you do not get from the other company because it is family owned. Everybody is very courteous and their service people, you feel like you can trust them. If you have an issue, you call them up. They come out and take care of it."

"I went through many before I found one that was really good. They do residential, commercial and upholstery. She has two guys that do upholstery and carpet cleaning, which is extra. They also power wash windows inside and outside. They also do usual things that are extra like refrigerators. When they go through the initial run-through the very first time, she has 3 girls and it is about 1 1/2-2 hours. She charges anywhere from $130-$179. My house is a 1500 square foot ranch so it is not that big and she charged me $130. Then she goes by the week. She has 3 ladies that come to my house and they get done in an hour. I pay $77. She originally came in and went through the house and saw what I wanted done. Then she gave me a price from that. I will absolutely continue to use them."

"The technician arrived on time as per scheduling from a week prior. He cleaned and checked the equipment as expected He also.made recommendations for the heating for the home being vacant for a portion of the winter months, and how to get service in case of equipment failure if I wasn't around. He also checked out a AC project I have planned for the spring."

"<p>Service tech arrived on time; determined status of boiler - inoperative due to failed cut-off switch.  Technician did a complete check and cleaning of the boiler and ancillary systems; removed much soot and other contaminants - boiler had not been used for lengthy time.  Technician not have part with him, but bypassed the switch to allow the boiler to operate temporarily - absolutely necessary, very cold at this time!  Technician returned the following week, installed the new switch, tested the boiler; operation has been flawless since, and we expect that this will continue.</p> <p>We have used Dependable before, about four years ago.  Their work lives up to the company's name, service is prompt, and their prices are very reasonable.  </p> <p>I am completely satisfied. </p> <br />"

FAQs for air ducts & vents cleaning service projects in Carp-lake, MI

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) states that air duct cleaning is not required unless visible issues such as mold buildup, rodent droppings, or excessive dust are present. When such conditions exist, cleaning becomes essential to protect indoor air quality and maintain HVAC efficiency. This approach minimizes potential health risks and extends the system’s life.

Air ducts must be cleaned every three to five years as required by NADCA to preserve system efficiency and indoor air quality. The EPA insists that cleaning is necessary only when significant issues such as mold, pest infestations, or heavy dust accumulation are evident. Annual inspections by a certified professional promptly address any emerging concerns.

The ideal seasons for air duct cleaning are spring and fall. Cleaning during these periods prepares your HVAC system for the demands of both winter heating and summer cooling. These seasons provide moderate weather conditions that enable efficient service completion while minimizing disruption, ensuring your system performs at its peak.

Professional air duct cleaning takes a fixed duration of two to five hours, depending on the home’s size and the complexity of the duct system. Smaller residences with standard ductwork complete the service in two hours, while larger homes with extensive ducts require up to five hours. Additional repairs may extend this duration.

To prepare for professional air duct cleaning, ensure all vents are unobstructed by moving nearby furniture and clearing pathways. Secure any pets in a safe area and confirm that your HVAC system units are easily accessible for technician inspection. Proper preparation contributes to a higher quality service outcome and prevents delays, allowing the cleaning process to proceed efficiently.
