"The electrician who came out was great--punctual, professional, worked efficiently, methodically, and was extremely thorough.  The kitchen light was fixed very quickly.  The porch light issue took quite a while to figure out, and in the process, he went through basically our whole electrical system (discovered a junction box had been covered up when the porch room had been divided at some point in the nebulous past); he corrected the issue with minimal damage to the wall.  Very pleased with the work, very fair price considering the amount of time/effort it took to diagnose.  Really appreciate the prompt invoicing via email, too--very convenient.  "

"We needed to upgrade our outdoor lighting scheme from Home Depot/Menards fixtures to a better quality installation. Touchstone replaced all of our underground wiring and fixtures. We also upgraded to the less costly bulbs that cost a little more upfront but use far less electricity over a much longer life span. Several bulbs were defective and suffered a premature demise, but Touchstone promptly returned to replace them with no additional costs. Since that time they have come out several times to add additional fixtures to expand our lighting plan. Always friendly and timely, I would not consider anyone else for our outdoor lighting needs."

"The work was delayed for a couple of weeks due to rainfall, but went well and was completed in only two days. After completion we found that two of our irrigation lines had been damaged by the landscapers, but it was repaired within a week. Our back garden hose was also damaged, but we were reimbursed for the cost of replacing it. I appreciated the design presented to us by Jesse and the clear details of what to expect as the work was completed. I would recommend Beds and Borders to friends and neighbors."

"The overhead and recessed light problems were readily fixed; the home theater problem was not a major electrical problem and was fixed by resetting a system surge protector; the four smoke alarms did need to be replaced. Resolution required two separate visits, one to assess issues and the second to install bulbs and smoke/carbon monoxide alarms after obtained. Steve was the electrician both times and he did a very good job - he was professional yet friendly and worked efficiently and quickly. I was very pleased overall."

"<p>Two of the light replacements were an easy swap, the third was a challenge because it was controlled by two separate switches and it was 1926 wiring. The pendant lights were a nightmare for the journeyman. Took him all day and he felt badly about the high bill as a result. The previous owner got creative in how they created the soffit which resulted in the electrician constantly running into unexpected barriers. The electrician persevered though and figured it out. Our soffit looked like swiss cheese but we had painters coming in to do repair on another project so it all worked out. </p> <br />"

"I had an old 50-inch plasma (10 years old) mounted over my fireplace that finally died.  I replaced it with a new 55-inch flat screen.  I needed someone to take down the old one, mount the new one, and connect it (wires in the wall) to all my AV equipment in a built in cabinet.  Rob was the PERFECT choice! He was available when I needed him.  He was on time! He was quick! He explained what he was doing! He shared with me options I had for wiring! He gave suggestions! He cleaned up! And he even came back a couple of days later when I decided to add one more component (and needed a bit of help running those wires behind the wall)! He's a professional and a pleasure to work with.  I highly recommend him, and will be sure to call on him again should I need any other services he provides."

"1955 rehab house, needed panel, power and pole upgrade.  Contract bid was within the three other quotes obtained.  Arrived on time and completed the job in two segments; panel and pole.  Panel was updated first to minimize down time of continued rehab project (needed power/lights for other projects), upgrade included a 28 breaker panel.  Time - less than a day. <br /> Moving of the main power pole (where the power comes in to the house) was delayed by unusual snowy spring weather (NOT under the contractors control).  At the first relief in weather opportunity the contractor moved the power pole from in wall to home exterior (per code).  Necessary access holes through eves and brick were done in an esthetic manor.  Final rain proofing of old roof hole (to far for the new pole boot to reach) was left to the owner.  Time - less than 1 day. <br /> Worker was timely, professional, and knowledgeable.  Would recommend to others. <br />"
