"Very professional and courteous! Received a phone call the same day and it was a weekend :) Spoke with Matt and set up a consultation. Received a quote for the total amount instead of a "ballpark figure" which I appreciate. Matt was the person who installed my new water heater, picked it up from Lowes for me so I didn't have to deal with that. Also fixed my leaking shower. Spoke with the gentleman at lowes when purchasing my water heater and told me they could install it. When I told him the price for the whole job he told me I got a great deal, the cost just to install the water heater would have been 35% more at lowes!! I am setting up another appointment for them to change out my other faucets AND my light fixture in the bathroom as I found out they also do electrical! One stop shopping at this place. I now have them permanently in my contacts for plumbing and electrical."

"Installation of a water softener and RO water purifier at my home went well today, and I must say the experience was excellent. The plumber was incredibly patient, professional, and detail-oriented. He explained every step of the process clearly, ensuring we understood how the systems worked and how to maintain them. He came well-prepared with the right tools and made sure the installation was clean and seamless. What stood out the most was his friendly attitude and willingness to answer all our questions without rushing. He also gave helpful tips on how to get the most efficiency out of the systems and was very respectful of our space. He clearly takes pride in his work, and it shows in the quality and precision of the installation. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for plumbing services, and he will be my go-to person for any future plumbing needs."

"On time, quick, efficient, and friendly service. Quickly diagnosed problems and was able to fix both of them in less than 30 minutes. Explained what the problem was, how it was fixed, asked for and answered all of my questions. Justin was excellent and will definitely contact Davis Plumbing for any other needs we might have."

"I knew that I was going to need very good help with this water heater replacement. The old one was 22 years old and had a lot of sediment in it. Also the location was difficult to get to. Jack sheduled the appointment to fit my schedule. Brad and Mickey arrived promptly and tackled the situation. As expected, the drain was clogged and the tank was way too heavy to lift out without draining. When using air pressure failed, they pulled out a shop vac, jerry-rigged a small hose on the end and slowly suck out enough water to allow the tank to be lifted out. They're one of the best crews I've ever had working for me. I have my mechanic, my electrician, and now I have my plumbers. I'll never use anyone else and I highly recommend them."

"We have used Jerry several times for various different jobs. He has fixed clogged drains, replaced our garbage disposal and re-routed the pipes to prevent future problems, fixed irrigation leaks, and replaced a toilet. He is always prompt, and we have never had to wait more than 1 day for service. If he doesn't have all the parts he needs, he goes and gets them right away, then comes back to finish the job. And he cleans up when he's done! <br />"

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Cave Springs, AR

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
