"Ordered the health scan report to get a comprehensive analysis of our water beyond the suspected problem of bacteria. The sample kit arrived within a couple days. The results took about a week and a half. The results even identified the species bacteria and yeasts and included information on each."

"I got multiple bids for this job because we had problems with our old system that were not resolved to our satisfaction. - Service Experts and the other companies all gave free estimates. - The technician from Service Experts who gave us a bid was the most knowlegable of the four different salespersons who gave bids.  Two other things impressed me: (1) I was informed that two service technicians would come to install the new system if I decided to have the job done, and (2) The unit that was recommended had a decibel rating of just 62.  I did some online research and found that most 2 ton units have a decibel rating of at least 70 and most are about 72 to 74 decibels.  I did further research and found that the difference between 62 and 72 decibels is very significant. - The unit would go next to a patio area and quiet operation was important to me.  -  When the day of installation arrived, two clean cut technicians arrived and finished the work in just 5 hours, which included the removal of the old system and all of its parts as well as cleaning up the work area.  A very cool touch screen thermometer control unit was installed which is very easy to use.  The unit has worked perfectly and it is VERY QUIET. - In fact, I am still amazed at how quiet that unit is.  The Service Experts technician/salesperson says it is the quietest unit in the industry - and I believe him!"

"Woke up on Sunday morning and heater was not working. House was at 44 F. Called for service and service representative Chip was dispatched within 20 minutes. Problem was diagnosed as a plugged vacuum line and was fixed very quickly. Chip did a thorough service of the heater while he was there. Price charged was just for an off-hour service call. Very professional and friendly service <br />"

"My thermostat froze and would not turn on my heater just as the weather turned cold at night. I called Barlow and begged them to send someone out as soon as possible. When I explained that we have a 74 year old (myself) and two young grandchildren plus their parents living with me. They made me a priority because of the ages of the people living here. They sent out a technician named SPENCER. He went out of his way to replace my thermostat. He was totally professional and more than helpful. Because of SPENCER I am spending a cozy warm night in my home. I am so grateful for Barlow squeezing in an appointment for us and as an additional perk SPENCER was even able to arrive early. He literally went the extra mile to take care of us. Thank you SPENCER and Barlow. Joanne"

"They were punctual and very professional. They did a very good job, our carpets looked alot better then they were. I dont say 100% better because our carpets are in very bad shape and need to be replaced (couldnt afford that!) so for the quality of our carpet, i was impressed with out clean they got it! The price was a bit high but that was because we added a door mat and some spot removal to the price."

FAQs for air ducts & vents cleaning service projects in Cedar City, UT

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) states that air duct cleaning is not required unless visible issues such as mold buildup, rodent droppings, or excessive dust are present. When such conditions exist, cleaning becomes essential to protect indoor air quality and maintain HVAC efficiency. This approach minimizes potential health risks and extends the system’s life.

Air ducts must be cleaned every three to five years as required by NADCA to preserve system efficiency and indoor air quality. The EPA insists that cleaning is necessary only when significant issues such as mold, pest infestations, or heavy dust accumulation are evident. Annual inspections by a certified professional promptly address any emerging concerns.

The ideal seasons for air duct cleaning are spring and fall. Cleaning during these periods prepares your HVAC system for the demands of both winter heating and summer cooling. These seasons provide moderate weather conditions that enable efficient service completion while minimizing disruption, ensuring your system performs at its peak.

Professional air duct cleaning takes a fixed duration of two to five hours, depending on the home’s size and the complexity of the duct system. Smaller residences with standard ductwork complete the service in two hours, while larger homes with extensive ducts require up to five hours. Additional repairs may extend this duration.

To prepare for professional air duct cleaning, ensure all vents are unobstructed by moving nearby furniture and clearing pathways. Secure any pets in a safe area and confirm that your HVAC system units are easily accessible for technician inspection. Proper preparation contributes to a higher quality service outcome and prevents delays, allowing the cleaning process to proceed efficiently.
