"I would not recommend. At all. For 4 months we have been fighting with the owner to rectify our inept install. It all began with the salesman who over promised and under delivered. Then the main installation person was in a huge hurry and left behind many unbelievably careless mistakes and we are still finding more. One is even a fire risk. I could go on and on. My husband is an electrical engineer and is fixing them as he discovers them. However, the worst, we do not have the outside heat pump that our huge house requires, they simply installed the lower level unit they happened to have on hand. Dishonest! The owner is attempting to manipulate us to just walk away. He is pushing us to the limit when he should simply admit his employees screwed us over, make it right, and then we will go away. My husband is a pit bull and he isn?t going away. The fight goes on. "

"HVAC install new build. Plans show upright unit 10’ from concrete front porch. Installed side-exhaust unit blowing on porch – forming ice and desiccating plants. To redirect exhaust, we built 4’ high fence around unit, meeting setbacks verified by Mitsubishi. Worked during construction heating to 50F. Next winter, heating to 68F, ice formed on house and under unit until toppled. Refused to correct without additional payment. Competitor devised solution we implemented –wind baffle, gap fence slats, drip pan, pipe drainage away, install outlet/place heat rod in pan to keep condensate liquid so drains away. Since posting, AmeriCool blamed everything except the main cause: poor placement of unit contradicting install reqs in manual. They needed to identify during rough in that location would not work so could be redirected to one of many alternative locations. AmeriCool threatened legal action if we post reviews. How will they treat you?"

"The installer arrived on time and did a great job on the install. The Heat Pump works great and is properly sized for the house. The added benefit of removing humidity from the house is great! I even got a follow up call from the installer to make sure I was happy with the unit."
