"We had three companies come out to bid our project, all with the request that we didn't want or need anything super fancy. We couldn't afford to spend a ton of money on our house in our current neighborhood because we would never get it back in a sale. We just wanted something that didn't squish, sink, rattle, squeak, or fall off; namely, we didn't need the best wood or composite materials. We would be perfectly happy with simply a replacement. <br /> Darien was the only one of the three who really took into consideration the fact that we just needed a replacement porch, not a top of the line product. He understood our budget limits and our timeline and gave us what we wanted. In fact, he gave us even more than just a replacement, and for about 1/3 of what the other companies quoted us. The final product exceeded our expectations and matched perfectly with the house and neighborhood. And I will say we were somewhat worried because he had to work with 90 year old concrete pillars that we didn't want ripped out to preserve the look of the home. We didn't know how he was going to do it because the process required creative thinking, skilled hands, and wasn't just laying down a deck. It was interesting watching the crew work and find solutions to incorporating these huge pillars into the plan and repairing them when they would crumble somewhat. <br /> We scheduled the porch to be replaced in September, which gave him about 3 months to plan. September came and he wasn't quite ready. In fact, we were delayed about 3 weeks and we were irritated a bit. We had a baby due in about a month and we wanted it done before she came. But, once they started and then finished we couldn't complain. Not only did he and his crew create a gorgeous porch for our 93 year old house, but they did it with respect and consideration for our home and family of 5, worked 10 hour days, and even after they said they were done and I still had some minor concerns they came back and worked another half day just to appease me. <br /> They went above and beyond to fulfill our expectations and special requests and we are excited to enjoy a sturdy, and beautiful porch! <br /> <br /> <br />"

"Started and completed project on time. Assembled kit and shingled roof in just a few days. Had a minor issue that was quickly responded to and resolved without question. Lance and workers seemed to want to make sure we were happy with finished product Followed up after the job was done and wasn't scared to ask us if we were pleased. Very confident that we could rely on service after the sale! As far as the price, we received firm quote prior to work being performed and that is what we paid. Originally we had another quote that was a few dollars less, but Lance was very eager to earn the business without sacrificing quality and was recommended by one of our other contractors who we were happy with so we chose his company. Very happy with our decision to use JL Exteriors. Thanks to J L Exteriors and their staff we are really enjoying our pavilion and will for years to come! <br />"

Your crew was so kind and so professional and meticulous, that they knew that two particular windows were very important to my wife.  Your crew wanted to get them perfect and asked me some questions about them, that I could not answer. My wife was feeling better, but still in the hospital, and I called her on the phone, while your crew waited for me, as she and I discussed for several minutes the exact placement of the windows. Some minor changes had to be made and your crew could have easily just slapped the two windows in the new location, which was only slightly off of the original plan, and be done with it, but they stopped and pointed out where my wife originally wanted them and the new location difference and wanted to be sure that my wife understood the change, and wanted me to talk to my wife first. I was so very impressed that they made the adjustments on the spot that my wife suggested over the phone. I don’t think any other company would have gone through this much trouble to please their customers! <br /> You also were very respectful of our property, neighbors, and your crew were always very willing to stop and explain the process of what was going to happen next. Not one time did we ever feel like we were in your way. Actually, it was the opposite, we felt like you and your crew were very excited to show us your equipment and how it worked and actually wanted us around so we could see how it all worked and so we could see for ourselves how everything was perfect - and it was! <br /> We will always remember you and think of you so highly. There are so many things that can go wrong when redoing a home, and having it go off with such a perfect start gives us such great hope.
