"James Baillie called and made an appointment to look at the roof. He did come by and gave an estimate. I did Accepted contract. Also, I paid him for a New Roof. Which was installed on or about 1 April 2025. Everything seemed find until the next rainstorm. The roof leaked or more like it flooded inside. I did contact James Baillie and his brother William Baillie. They did come by and explained what the cause might have been. This went on for several weeks. I was finally able to get on the roof with some help and took pictures. The roof is no longer flat but has raised ridges, bubbles, gaps, and seams that appear to be coming up. Had photos taken before, during construction, completion and after rain. Also, inside building where the leak has ruined inventory, floor (coming up) and ceiling damage. Unable to get any resolution in fixing the roof correctly. We were even told that the material used was not the best quality. Contractor will not return calls. Roof leaks worse now than ever before. He did not get or obtain a building permit. Which I have now discovered that the use of wood is not allowed in the area. Also the roof was not inspected by the city as required for a commercial building. The up side is James Baillie did paint a 2nd building and did a nice job. Now this roof has to be removed and replace according to city code."
