"Helper and Electrician showed up. The electrician could not speak English. The helper could understand him and translated for the electrician. I had three specific jobs to accomplish 1. install dimmable lights over the shower. 2. install an outlet between the vanity sinks. 3. Remove and install a ceiling fan in the adjacent bedroom. Job 1. Got up in the attic and pulled the electric from a nearby ceiling fan. Lights were mounted and they looked fine. When I asked if they were dimmable, the english speaker said yes. Problem 1. The ceiling fan they tied into had a non dimmable ceiling light. So they installed a non-dimming switch in the wall. This mean that the ceiling fan light could not be turned on, and the ceiling lights over the shower had to be non-dimmable. Not acceptable. Job 2. Install electric outlet in a towel shelf above and between the sinks for a small Alexa TV. The English speaker called me in, and said they had to pull wire from a nearby spotlight over one of the sinks. The assistant called me in again and said that they were going to cut a hole in the sheetrock and would not repair the sheetrock. I said, OK. Problem 2. The spotlight was on a dimmer switch, and since this was a 110 outlet being hooked in, they simply replaced the dimmer with a conventional wall switch. Not acceptable. Job 3. Since the installers were running behind, they postponed the ceiling fan installation until last. Problem 3. They finally got to the fan, and found that there was no installation screws or other parts: Just the fan and the blades. So they said they could not install and for me to call when I could get a fan they could put up. Not necessarily their problem, but I was not informed until they wanted to leave. Now I have Job 1, pulled from a ceiling fan in the attic. And now I cannot use a dimmer because the ceiling fan has a custom light bulb which cannot be dimmed. And now I cannot dim the lights over the shower without getting a ladder up and manually dimming whenever I want. Thanks a lot, guys. Job 2 pulled from a dimmable switch. Their solution is to change out the switch, which kept me from dimming the over-the -vanity lights. There were other lights which could have been tapped, including lights that were wired into a switch on the adjacent wall. Did not ask. They just did the easiest thing. Job 3. I still do not have the ceiling fan installed, but with the work I received so far, nothing will happen until they show me how they are going to fix Problem 1 and Problem 2 resolved. Oh, and by the way, repeated calls to the company office resulted in NO return calls. Yesterday, the email brought a letter that said they were drafting my account for the balance. Where is Home Advisor standing on this recommended vendor."
