"Mr. Thomas Williamson and his team worked diligently and went above and beyond to help me to do the needed repairs to my home. The repairs and maintenance include flat roof repair and recoat to protect foam underneath. His team also found wood rot facia board and to check all the boards at the front of my home had to remove accent tiles above to access. In so doing, found three places of leakage not yet evident. These were repaired and subsequently sealed to prevent any further damage. The tiles then had to be replaced and due to being previously painted over by the HOA had to be touched up to look exactly as before. Mr. Williams went more than the extra mile to find the wood exactly as what was used originally to replace for the fascia board in the repair. In addition he sought out to find the original type of tiles used in the construction of my home to replace tiles that did not survive in the process. The wood and the tiles no longer produced, he found them! Awesome job!"

They set an appointment for Monday, but called me Friday morning to let me know they fabricated my skylight early, and asked me if they could do it on that day! "I have used Modern Roofing one time in the past to do repairs on our roof. They did a good job. I thought I would use them on my mother’s house. Bad idea. There were many issues I had with them, including but not limited to the following: 1. her roof needed to be replaced, she didn’t have any leaks, but it needed to be replaced. After Modern Roofing installed the new roof, we had a significant leak in the house. My husband found the area where the water was coming into the house. The water was ‘pooling’ before it was noticed because it was in the laundry room under the washer and dryer. It produced mold on the floor (indoor / outdoor carpet) and possibly in the wall. The insulation and rafters in the attic were wet also. None of these were ever addressed / fixed by Modern Roofing. 2. I had contracted them to use “SureNail Technology”, after 2 months of the roof being installed, my husband found rusted nails where the water was coming in. If proper nails were used, how did the shingles come up and why were they rusted? 3. The men that worked on the house were extremely unprofessional. I spoke with the owner of Modern Roofing about their unprofessionalism. He agreed. He said he was going to fire them / let them go. 4. They replaced some rotten boards on the back porch with treated wood. After 5 months, the boards look like they are splitting. They also said they would come back and paint those boards. They never did. There were more issues that we were concerned about than mentioned above. But this is enough. All issues were told to the owner. After the owner left January 12, 2019, we have not heard from them since. I tried 2 times to contact them a week to 10 days later. The receptionist took my information and said she would pass my call to Joe and Nick, the owners of Modern Roofing. I have not received any phone call or visit from them since January 12th. I would like for them to check on the mold in all areas where the leak was, replace any wood on the back porch if needed, paint the boards they installed and also compensate us for all the issues. Therefore, I would not recommend Modern Roofing."

"I called and described what I thought was a roof leak. The owner came out that afternoon, looked at the inside ceiling, went out and climbed up his ladder to inspect the area. He showed me where he presumed the water was coming from. He quoted me a price to repair the roof and we made a deal to get it done. We were expecting rain in a couple of days so he scheduled a crew out the next day to repair the roof. We got the rain as predicted but after the rain I noticed the leak persisted. I called him and he came right away, went up in the attic and found a "repaired" copper water pipe that was not repaired properly and was dripping. He put a collecter under the leak and advised we get a plumber to repair. He was very honest and in my opinion did quality work and the final price was lower than quoted. Even though the leak was not where he said I'm sure it would have leaked in the near future so I feel like he fixed a future leak.
