"Grass is thick and healthy. Prices are reasonable. Excellent communication, especially from Brian and Thomas, who also do a good job diagnosing problems."

"Vin DiPasquale Landscaping, bought out Lewey Landscaping. The only reason I stayed with the service was because the crew from Lewey had taken care of my lawn 8 plus years. The new owner, Vin and I had a difference of opinion on landscaping work. I saved video clips and text messages on the problems I had with their landscaping and follow up. The main person who managed the lawn care was Lindsey Carroll, she left Vin and started her own lawn service which I highly recommend. Her # 252-955-5416. Lindsey has taken care of my lawn for over 10 years. Quality and Care is what she gives in her work."

"This company is fantastic to work with.  We had just moved into our new home and the grass really needed cutting.  We had called other lawn service providers and they would either not provide service unless we had a long term agreement or they would not return our phone calls.  Let us tell you about Lawns by Carlito.   We emailed them on Wednesday night.  Alysia called us on Thursday morning.  Within TWO hours, Carlito and his crew were taking care of our lawn.  Our lawn looked great after they had finished.  This is a very friendly, professional and customer oriented company.  We would highly recommend them to others in the Durham area..  We certainly look forward to using their services in the future. <br />"

"They do what they say and the grass actually looks better. They come when they say they will and they always leave a note with suggestions. The products they use are pet and kid friendly. I can see the positive effects of the grass and they do a good job. I signed up with them for a yearly maintenance. My front yard is tougher to seed and aerate, and they offered to come back and do my front yard again at no additional cost."

"We are in our second year of Pleasant Green Grass taking care of our lawn. Initially the front lawn was sparse with lots of bare patches of earth with no grass. The first season after our second treatment with the team laying a layer of compost over the entire lawn, the front lawn looked AMAZING! Never would have known a month earlier that it was sparse and bare looking. My neighbor was amazed, telling me she couldn't believe the transformation. And she couldn't see any of the weeds anymore. And well over a year later, she still comments on how lush and full my lawn is. In our second season, we opted to do the compost top dressing treatment again (it's a suggested addition to the basic lawn care) and the lawn in so full and beautiful. It needs to be mowed every week now that it's so healthy. When it was in poor shape I was only mowing to keep the weeds down. My back yard is taking a bit longer to heal. Shortly before we had Scott come out to look at our lawn, we had a landscaper work on our backyard. They did an awful job on the re-sodding of our lawn. When Scott came to do our initial estimate he commented on how an area looked like it got an extreme amount of wear... it was only months old. So it hadn't seen the extreme wear that it looked like it had. Another area was so full of weeds, he couldn't believe the sod was so recent the way it looked. Well the worn areas are full and lush and the weeds, while not completely gone, are down tremendously from our starting point. Scott started treatment in June 2016 and 15 months later we have an enviable lawn (minus a few weeds still hanging around.) Scott and team also did a full soil analysis to understand what additional treatments would bring our soil back to healthy. Once the soil analysis was back we received a detailed report on what nutrients/minerals were in the correct ranges and why each was important (and that we didn't need lime...) as well as what was not optimal and the plan of how to correct it. My lawn only required gypsum (so they weren't trying to sell me on needing all these extra supplements, just what was needed.) They gave me details on how they planned to correct it (3 treatments spaced 6 months apart - $50 a treatment, so again not crazy expensive, either.) I will not put toxic chemicals on my lawn (really, who wants that in their drinking water! if only people would realize that is where those chemicals end up). My husband has mostly come around and isn't calling to douse the weeds with that nasty herbicide that starts with an R, based on the amazing transformation of our yard. I also love that I can have my lush lawn and keep my pollinator garden at it's finest with the bees, butterflies and hummingbirds super happy! I had an estimate for garlic mosquito spray earlier this year and didn't go with it because I felt it was pricey over the course of the summer. My less than a quarter acre lot (including my house) was about $75 per spray; it's needed every 3 weeks and PGG requires a 'contract' of a minimum of 6 times. I wasn't sure i wanted to spend that much for a mosquito free yard. I'm wishing I would have done it now as I can't walk outside for more than a minute without several mosquito bites. Next year I'm sucking it up and having it done so i can enjoy running around in my lush lawn. I highly recommend Pleasant Green Grass and their ability to transform lawns into lush landscapes naturally and oh so quickly. My yearly cost with the compost top dressing option is about $750, without compost, about $550. You can even purchase an organic NC Christmas tree from them that they deliver to your door! No nasty toxic chemical residue in our home from the other local trees."

"I picked leaf & limb because of the many positive reviews on Angie's List.  Also it is my understanding that their workers are all employees and the company carries workers comp and liability insurance.  I did not mind paying more for a company that takes care of its workers. <br /> The estimator was Greyson Painter.  He seemed very professional.  He could identify every plant we came across and he told me the job would probably take all day and quoted $2100 for the job. <br /> The job involved some work on my neighbors line including pruning branches of an oak touching my house.  When I asked for permission, my neighbor asked me to get them to prune some branches on his house and have that added to the job at his expense.  When I received the typed quote by email, it was missing shearing my front bushes.  Greyson said he would come back out to figure what my neighbors add-on would be, and to figure out the extra cost of shearing the bushes in the front. <br /> Greyson never came out.  When I inquired he said the workers would quote it on the job.  I was ok with that.  The job was scheduled about 1 month later (they called on a Friday to tell me they would be there Monday).  Guys arrived before 8 am and added $200 for the extra tree work and $200 for the extra work on the bushes.  I agreed to that. <br /> It was a beautiful day with a chance of rain.  Temperatures were moderate.  The guys worked for about 90 minutes and then took at least an hour nap on my lawn.  I had to leave at that point to take my wife for cataract surgery.  I called the Leaf and Limb office and got an answering machine and complained about their work ethic.  We got back at around 3:30 and the guys were packing up.  They asked me to walk around the house to point out issues.  I did and they fixed them. <br /> The following day I noticed how asymmetrical they left the 2 Arborvitaes.  It seems to me that they charge a premium price and should be doing a premium job.  I don't see that at least on my job.  I've had lots of work done on my house including landscaping, a stone retaining wall, a large addition, etc.  I've never seen workers take an hour break after working 90 minutes first thing in the morning.  It seems to me that their aim was to stretch the job as long as possible.  And had it rained they would never have finished it.  Now in all honesty, I have no idea how hard they worked while I was gone.  All I can describe is what I saw before I left a bit after 11 am. <br /> So if you don't mind paying a premium price for hiring workers with a possibly low work ethic, go ahead and hire them. <br />"
