"I'm so grateful for L&L Roofing! Lucas is very respectful, trustworthy, and honest. His integrity shines through his work. As the owner of the company, he personally came to do the inspection, provided a very reasonable estimate, and managed the job onsite himself. He ensured my roof was installed correctly and in a timely manner. He even provided an incredible workmanship warranty, which is amazing in and of itself, but I know I won't even need it. Thank you so much!"

"LRG showed up on time for both the evaluation and to complete the job and had great communication via text. The roof repair was done thorough and matched the surrounding roof in addition to calking some adjacent areas that needed some attention. I would recommend Legacy Restoration Group for all your roofing repair and replacement needs."

"SunPro scheduled my appointment and their in house crew showed up on time and installed my panels professionally. Later that day their electrical crew connected my panels to my existing electrical panel. Everyone whom I've dealt with with this company has been helpful and knowledgeable.  Everything was clean, complete and I'm happy with the job.

"Well let me first start off by saying as a home owner having work done of any sort at your home always adds stress to your normal daily routine. When we decided it was time to do some upgrading to our home, we started the task of seeking out quotes for doing our roof first. While shopping roofers and gathering quotes I came across Tony Guzman of Dream Home Remodeling Inc. After sitting and talking with Tony my Husband and myself felt that he and his company would be our choice. I cannot say enough about the great job they did. They arrived on time, there was a foreman present the entire job who was very knowledgeable about roofing, the shingles I choose and was able to address and answer any of my concerns, all the guys were polite and left my home after completing the job spotless with a beautiful new roof. I was pleasantly surprised at the little amount of stress involved while Tony and his crew were here. It was an A+ all around!"

"They were very friendly and professional. This was our first experience having to replace a roof, and they took the time to explain everything and handled everything with our insurance company. They also went out of their way to bring extra samples by until we made a decision on shingles. The day of install was impressive. A crew showed up first thing in the morning, laid tarps across everything and went to work. Everyone was polite and focused on their work, and they had it completed by the end of the day. They cleaned everything up and left no mess. I highly recommend AMI Roofing. It was a seamless experience."

"We needed a custom swingset built for my special needs 17 year old son. After learning about his condition, Dylan offered the set at no cost. An overwhelming offer. Not only that the resulting set that he and his wife built will last forever. Our previous set only lasted months. Dylan and Lynn are great and talented people and I would recommend them for any home project."

"It was difficult to get working on the job due to all the rain we have had but when they were able to come they were here at daybreak which was a plus - get in & get it done - loved that. They were very neat & clean & at the end of the day there was no trash anywhere! Another plus. They did a great job on the roof & it looks great! We have a chimney and they decided, without talking to us, to put a tall piece of flashing around it & scored the bricks about 1/2 in deep to bend the flashing & insert the top into the scored slot - looked nice from the ground. They completed the job in a timely manner, 3 days as they had said. Then the rain started again and our chimney started leaking! - never had any leaks anywhere previously. It leaked around the outside & somehow came down the inside the chimney as well. It took a day or two to have our calls returned. In the meantime we had been up on the roof inspecting it & saw another area that was bare wood that had not been finished. When they came to see if they could see where the problem was the young man said well the boss did not have any caulking for me to finish with. When I pointed out the bare wood his reply was Oh I guess I forgot to finish that! I'll do it today. They caulked & finished the bare area. The weather complied & gave us more rain - still leaked in all the same places. It took another day or two to return our calls. The boss came with the young man the second time & they took all the flashing away & caulked more & replaced the flashing & more caulking. The story is not finished yet because we have not had a rain since to know if it is completely waterproof again. The boss is very nice, the workers constantly working-no wasting time. I was totally happy with the work & clean-up. Just unhappy with the leaks that we never had even with missing shingles & rotten spots. I also was not happy they decided to cut into our chimney without talking to us first. They did explain that cutting into the chimney would not have cause the problem - we're not convinced. The boss also found some holes in the mortar between the bricks & showed me the pictures of them. That may have been how the water got inside the chimney. Maybe the banging and vibrations the work produced loosened the mortar and caused some of the issue but not caulking because they didn't have any more was also a problem & not finishing an area that we would never have seen if we did not get on the roof, would have been a problem down the road.

FAQs for heating cable for roof installation projects in Cherry Log, GA

A typical heat cable uses 5 watts per foot, regardless of the outside temperature. So, if your cable is 100 feet long, it uses 500 watts per hour. Expect to pay an additional $40 to $200 or more per month on your electricity bill. Be sure to turn manual cables off in the summer when you don't need them.

To install heat tape on your roof, place it along the lower edge in a precise zig-zag pattern to maximize coverage and heat distribution. Professional installers secure the tape with specialized clips that attach firmly to your shingles. This method ensures even heat distribution to effectively melt ice and snow while maintaining your roof's integrity during severe winter conditions.

Choosing between heated gutters and roof heating cables usually comes down to budget, appearance, and performance. Heated gutters cost less to install and blend seamlessly with your home’s exterior, making them a discreet, lower-cost option for preventing ice dams. Roof heating cables deliver more customizable and powerful heat along roof edges to handle heavy snow and ice, but they require more material and labor, increasing your upfront investment. Evaluate your roof design, winter weather demands, and energy budget to select the system that works best for your property.

Roof heating cables prevent ice dams by melting snow and stopping ice buildup at the roof edge. Ice damming occurs when melting snow refreezes on a cold roof—often right above the gutter line—and blocks water from draining, which can force moisture under shingles into your home. Heating cables maintain a warm channel that clears ice dams as soon as they form and protects your roof from water damage and structural issues.

Roof heating cables last between two and ten years before replacement is needed, wearing out faster than your roof itself. Their lifespan depends on climate severity, cable type, and exposure to physical damage. Consistent inspections and preventative maintenance—such as clearing debris, tightening clips, and checking electrical connections—can extend their service life and ensure reliable snow and ice protection each winter.

To safely remove snow from your roof, start with a specially designed roof rake, standing firmly on the ground and pulling snow downhill rather than climbing onto the roof. You can also apply calcium chloride ice melt to break up stubborn ice or gently use a secured rope from a safe vantage point.

Keep in mind that large snow slabs can weigh hundreds of pounds and pose a serious fall risk. If conditions are hazardous or you lack the right equipment, hire a professional to protect your safety and your roof’s integrity.
