Several years ago, they replaced a skylight; then they replaced a roof on a family vacation home in Mathews County. Last week, they replaced the roof on our home in Queensmill, and were superb. I live in a 2300 SF one story with a big roof covered with 2 layers of shingles. They were extremely organized in their approach, very careful, neat, highly safety conscious and worked so unbelievably hard. "Excellent work! At least 1/3 of my roof on the north side had a great deal of moss on it. On much of the rest of the roof there were small amounts of moss along the bottom edge of shingles, and there were patches in scattered places on the main part of the shingles. After Hector and his son cleaned the roof, it looked brand new. They removed plants and furniture from our deck before the job and replaced them after the job. They even did a light washing of the vinyl siding of the house, which was outside the agreed-upon scope of work, but they did not charge me for it. As a former member of a site safety office in a then-Fortune 50 company, I was particularly impressed with the excellent precautions they took to insure their safety on the roof during the job. Hector’s 27+ years of experience was evident in every aspect of the job. I plan to bring him back in a year for annual maintenance. "I really appreciated the work The Remodeling Company did for us. We had a lot of items we requested their work for -A new guard rail on the front porch -A new front door frame and new front door with sidelites. -A repair to the side door frame -A new gutter to replace one damaged in a storm Unfortunately, due to supply chain issues, the new front door frame and front door were unavailable. They offered us three options: drop the front door and frame part of the contract, build the repairs for the front door frame on site and the job price would be lowered as compensation, or cancel the contract in its entirety. We opted to go with the second option and have the frame repair built on site. They did an amazing job with each part and we are glad we stuck with them to finalize these projects we had been hoping to get done for some time. "We began soliciting bids for a screen porch to replace our existing deck during the summer of 2019. Juston from Classic Construction was one of several people we met with to get proposals. He did not rush through our initial meeting (as others did), taking his time to explain various options and making recommendations based on his experience. We initially thought we could use our existing deck framing as a base for the screen porch; other companies went along with that scenario but Juston said there were too many unknowns with the condition of the structure. He preferred to bid the job including new framing, and his bid was competitive with others that planned to use the existing framing. He was very prompt in getting us the quote, which was more detailed than the majority of the bids we received. When we had questions regarding the quote he offered to come back for another in person meeting, bringing samples of all of the materials he proposed. We delayed our decision for several months, but ultimately our experience with Juston, coupled with the many positive reviews we read regarding Classic, led us to award them the job. Our job was assigned to Brent and his crew, who are extremely skilled and professional. We were impressed with their daily progress; they completed the job in ten work days. They arrived each morning around 8:00 AM, and worked diligently throughout the day. Brent was patient with my frequent questions, and he offered suggestions that improved the final product. The quality of the workmanship is impeccable, and the materials used (Wolf PVC decking, RDI Endurance Vinyl Railing, Screen Tight screen framing with Bettervue Screen, Provia Screen Door, Velux Skylights) are top notch. "During a wind storm, a large tree limb punctured a 4” hole in my roof. Many homes in the area also needed roof repairs from the storm, and I called 3 other companies who either declined to offer an estimate or never returned my call - which I understand, they were busy. Crown thankfully agreed to provide an estimate, and I was pleasantly surprised that they sent a polite, professional young man to do the estimate that same day. I never clean my own gutters or get up on the roof, so my temporary solution to the hole was putting a bucket under it in my attic (and hoping it wouldn’t rain until I could get the roof fixed). The gentleman from Crown happened to have some emergency roof patching material in his truck, and kindly patched it for me on the spot - this gave me peace of mind about any rain/leaks and also reflects the way he treated my house as if it was his own. Given the large number of people needing roof repairs, it took a little while for them to permanently fix the roof (again, not their fault and I completely understand). But they were helpful in working with me and my insurance company, and when they fixed the roof they matched the shingles almost exactly- you can’t even tell it’s been replaced from the outside. All in all I hope I never have to deal with a fallen tree limb again, but if I do I know I’d call Crown. The individuals I worked with were polite, helpful, and honest, and I felt like I could trust them. Great job!"
