After removing the old shingles, his men discovered that several boards had rotted and that a couple of rafters needed replacing. Tom's crew did top notch work in a reasonable time, showed up as promised (actually started 1/2 day early), respected our property and landscaping, and were courteous, respectful, and patient with us, answering all our questions as they arose.
