"It went great!  When I built the house 11 years ago I had a floor outlet placed in the middle of my living room.   Dumb decision.  Not only did I never use it, but it was a trip hazard.  I'm having to replace the carpeting and wanted to be able to carpet over it.  I contacted several electricians from Angies List and Bretco was the first to respond and the first to be able to schedule the work.  They said the workmen would come in the morning and would call me before they left their office to give me a heads up.  It was carefully explained that the travel time for a one way trip would be figured in the cost.  I said I understood.  I knew what their hourly rate was because it was posted and they stated it up front.  When the two wonderful young electricians, Ryan and Paul left their office, they called and were at my home 20 minutes later.  When they came in I explained that I didn't want the wires just capped off, I wanted the PVC container cut down so it was level with the floor, the circuit cut, and the hole filled with concrete.  They didn't know about the concrete and hadn't brought any with them even though that was part of my first contact with the company.  I asked them if they could go buy some and I understood that time would be included in the bill but I wanted it done completely and not have to call someone back to finish the job.  They left and went into town and purchased the concrete and were back in 30 minutes.  I don't know that I could have gotten to that store and back in 30 minutes.  They then pulled the wiring from the wall that went to the floor receptacle.  They checked to make sure both openings on the wall outlet still worked so I could plug in a lamp, but the floor outlet was dead.  They cut down the PVC pipe and when they went to pour the concrete they discovered broken concrete where the builder had tried to do a cheap fix.  They pulled out the broken pieces, poured concrete in to repair it, smoothed the surface so that when I have the new carpeting put in next week it will be perfectly flat and no longer a trip or a fire hazard.  Both men were very knowledgeable, professional, courteous and friendly.  They didn't bat an eye when I asked them to purchase the concrete.  Some workers might have acted as though it were an imposition, but not these two well-mannered young men.  I have some ideas for optional electrical work I want done in the future (install new ceiling fan etc.) and this company will be my first choice.  I hope they send Ryan and Paul again.  When I am having any kind of work done, I want it done correctly rather than fast so it doesn't have to be redone at a later date.  I can't praise this company enough.  I also want to compliment Tina who was as good as her word and called me at 7:30 to let me know the men would be leaving shortly.  If you ever need electrical work, Bretco should be your first choice!

"Kevyn and his team did a great job. I initially hired them to remove some old ceiling fans and replace them with new ones. This was done with quickly and efficiently. While they were here, I asked about some additional wiring work and these guys jumped on it and had it done in no time. I would highly recommend KTH to anyone looking for electrical and/or data networking jobs. Thanks!"

"Greg Bohrer was professional and courteous. He was knowledgeable and explained what was wrong and what he needed to do to make the repairs before he actually made them. After completing the repairs he went back and tested him to make sure everything worked well as it should be."

"William Burden is the third generation owner of WBLightningRods and his company has been in business since 1950. He is very courteous, professional, was on time, and has a very good crew. William was present for the entire installation. We chose the copper system. We are glad for the peace of mind a lightning rod system will provide."

FAQs for generator repair projects in Clemmons, NC

Always start by confirming the pro’s license number, insurance coverage, and experience level. Visit the electrician’s website, scan recent customer reviews, and verify credentials with your local labor department. Request proof of liability insurance and at least two references that you can contact. These quick checks take only a few minutes but go a long way toward ensuring safe, code-compliant work and protecting your home in the event of an issue.

Grouping several electrical jobs into one appointment means you pay a single service-call fee and one set of travel expenses. Instead of asking a pro to return three separate times for outlets, switches, and fixtures, have everything tackled in one visit. The electrician stays productive, and you avoid extra trip charges, often shaving a sizable chunk off the final bill without compromising quality.

DIY electrical work can be dangerous and, in many areas, illegal without a license. One miswired connection risks shocks, fires, or expensive damage. Licensed electricians carry the right tools, follow local code, and know how to shut down power safely before they start. Hiring a pro may cost more upfront, but it protects your home, family, and insurance coverage in the long run.
