"When I made the appointment I described the work i wanted and was told the work I needed would not be a problem and they would come with equipment. When I read that they would need to pound the ground flat, I called the office back and asked again about the equipment and was assured they had the right equipment. 1) the crew arrived an hour early. However, they didn't advise me of the fact so I was on my way to pick up the bricks when they drove up. 2) When I told them what I wanted, they acted liked they had never heard about it. They did not have the right equipment to pound the ground level. 3) Fortunately it was easy to install the turf and there was a video online that showed how to do it. I showed it to the crew leader. I provided a box cutter to cut the turf ( they did not have anything to cut it). The most important thing -stated in the video - was to lay the grass out in the same direction so the seams would blend together. The next time I came out to check on the progress the turf was going in two different directions. Fortunately I caught it before they made another cut. I do want to say the men were pleasant and did work. But they did not have the knowledge about landscaping that I expected. I simply hired three workers who would do the work assigned them. I am happy with the area they did. It looks a little rough in places, but much better than it was before. But, the person taking the orders apparently does not share the customer's expectations or needs with the supervisor assigning the crews. If I just needed some guys to work in my yard I might use them again. But I would make sure I could be there at all times and I knew exactly how to do it so I could direct the work and check it.
