"First, Leo came to do an estimate at the time we agreed on. Most important he went on the roof, took his time and, in short order, figured out where the leak was coming from. Several other contractors either did not go on the roof or were less inciteful. Price wise Leo’s bid was middle range. What impressed me most is that the work was not rushed. The crew took their time to ensure that all the work was done correctly. I am extremely pleased with the results. I highly recommend Velasquez Contractors, llc. Hire them! You’ll be glad you did. Then come here and sing their praises."

Customers say: Terrific value

"I high recommend Mat and his crew. The remodeled my whole house, TWICE, because of flooding twice in 5 months. He went far and above what was expected in every way. He was very particular about his work and did a perfect job at everything. He's an honest, hardworking man and if I could give him a 10 STAR, I would."

"They came - put up an non-opening replacement door - took my old door away - and when it came back looked like new! The leaded glass had a 'bracing bar' where the solder had broken - so, they rebuilt the leaded glass in the door (looks better than it did new)... Also, the hardware (dead bolt - latch/knob) had lost its finish due to the sun... - they also allowed me to pick out a new hardware set and put that on also... (extra charge of course... and the leaded glass repair was extra - I'm very, very pleased with the result! :-)"

"Its an lady's company. She came out and got the estimate, and the next day or so the man came out to install it. I was worry about the rod, because it was an older garage, and we couldn't find any remote controls. He gave us remote controls, and said it would line up. He was good with what he did. He updated what needed to be done. She did good on every question. She was there a little bit early. Maybe not too early. It wasn't she was waiting for thirty minutes, but she was there a couple of minutes. She was waiting for me to put my dog's up. She was very professional. She didn't act like a male at all. She acted like a feminine lady. She was the owner. We tried to use her again, and she face-time the walk through for free. She told him what button to push. It had been a while for them to come out. There was just one guy. I failed to put my dogs up. He did whatever it was in a short amount of time. He answered all the questions. Whatever it was for the price, he did great. Its still working. He walked me through the remote controls too. It was a Saturday, and it was a window of time for that particular time. He was there when he said he was going to be there."

"The new windows are fantastic and exceed expectations for improving aesthetics and reducing ambient noise emanating from the neighborhood. We enjoy having easy to operate sashes for those breezy days in spring and fall that Houston permits. My home is typical of west side suburbs built in 1996. These homes are hastily built on a slab with low grade materials and cutting corners is sport dodging building inspectors. We met Ashley Walkes in our home and he was very informative. He talked us through numerous options and discussed at length window anatomy with excellent recommendations in our own interests for the house. We settled on the order and job details in late July and made the install in early October after Hurricane Michael receded. Our job was a long list of particulars with respect to each window. Ashley handled the order without issue or encumbering us with concerns. When the install started there was a dedicated and hardworking four-man crew every day for the entire time which took one week to complete. Numerous problems were encountered during old window extraction due to unconventional construction techniques employed years past. Billy and Mark engineered repairs around the window openings with calculated practice and methodical work ethic. Paul and Tyler were unphased and carried out tasks with deft efficiency. We were very pleased with attention to detail the entire crew afforded our job. The job completed as expected, on time, and per bid. In summary, the windows were delivered and installed with very good workmanship and without undue delays. The quality of the product is as advertised and with definite improvement. Two windows didn’t survive the journey to Texas but one replacement has already been installed and the other is scheduled. We are pleased to be able to recommend Ashley and his team for future window needs."

"Looked at a number of different companies to replace the shower door and surround.  Ended up using Raintree due to the number of different options they gave us regarding placement of the door.  They were willing to work with us to have the enclosure removed early (at no extra cost) since I wanted to re-caulk and clean and seal the grout.  On the day of the installation, they showed up on time (early) and did a very good job on the installation.  The only complaint I have is they left some very small but sharp pieces of what I think was ceramic on the shower floor.  I ended up cutting myself on one of these pieces.  I would think the company may want to run a shop vac over their work area before they call it a job.  Overall I am very happy with the installed product and would have rated this company an A if not for this issue.  It is also the reason for the professionalism C rating.

FAQs for doors (interior) installation and replacement projects in Cleveland, TX

If your existing frame is in good shape, you can replace an interior door without changing the frame. This is a budget-friendly option because it saves on the cost of removing and installing a new frame. By choosing a slab door that fits your current frame, you'll save on labor and materials. Just make sure the new door matches the old one's dimensions for a smooth replacement.

Standard interior doors are 80 inches tall and range from 28 to 32 inches wide. Interior doors vary from 24 to 36 inches wide, depending on their purpose and the available space. Building codes require interior doors to be at least 80 inches tall and 24 inches wide. Knowing standard sizes helps you select a new door that fits properly in your existing opening.

It costs $600 to $2,000 or more to move an inside door. The total price depends on your location, the type of door, and materials needed to complete the project. Moving an interior door requires walling up the leftover space and opening up a new wall where you want the door to go instead. You’ll also want to plan for the expense of framing the new wall opening and adding trim.

Exterior door installation costs an average of $1,175, with a typical range of $525 to $1,800. The higher expense compared to the cost of interior doors comes from the need for exterior doors to be weather-proofed and they are often made of thicker, more durable materials. The associated exterior hardware must also be able to withstand harsh weather, so these cost more as well.

It costs between $300 to $2,500 to make a doorway wider on average. However, the wider you need the space to be, the more it will cost. Some homeowners choose to widen interior doorways to make the house more wheelchair accessible. In order to be wheelchair accessible, an interior door needs to be at least 32 to 36 inches wide. Also, some older homes just have narrow doorways due to the nature of how homes were built differently many decades ago.

It takes between two to five hours for a professional door installer to install an interior door, depending on complexity and materials. A pre-hung door typically takes around two hours, and larger doors like double French doors can take up to five hours. If you’re doing the project yourself, expect it to take a little longer than that, especially if you have little to no experience completing this type of project. Keep in mind that a pre-hung door can be installed about an hour or two faster than a slab door.
