"I just had an electric fence installed by Pat Borg of Borg's Pet Fencing for my new puppy. I had a small, specific, irregular area I wanted fenced in (yes I'm a control freak) and he did a wonderful job of accommodating MY wishes and it worked very well with my little pup. I had a hard time the next day with the collar responding and called the company. His wife Sue was very kind, patient and knowledgeable in helping me, and walked me thru it (I am technologically challenged-to say the least!). Pat then stopped by later to be sure it worked. But after a couple of days, I came to realize that the area I had chosen, and insisted on having fenced, would not be a good setup for my dog once she was full grown. I paced around awhile then hesitantly called Pat to ask if he thought it would be possible to rerun the wire to enlarge the perimeter in the back yard (and I was sure he would think I was a lunatic!) But quite the opposite (whew!), he was very understanding and patiently helped me come up with a much better and roomier layout for my dog's not too distant future...and this time I deferred to his expertise! I am very happy with the results!! I can't say enough about Pat and Sue...very professional, easy to work with (unlike me), reasonable rates, quality service and workmanship. I would HIGHLY recommend this company! (glad customers are not reviewed...yikes!)"

"The person who answered the phone was friendly. I told that one of my gates on a fence that The Fence Co. had installed some years ago was sagging and I needed a service call. He insisted that I take a photo of the gate with my phone and email it to him before he scheduled the call so that, "they would know what to bring with them to be able to fix it." When I explained that I had never taken or emailed a phone photo, he explained how I might do that. I did figure out how to take and send the photo, and he promptly called me back. He explained that their minimum charge for a service call was $275.00 but that he could explain to me how to fix it myself and save the money---which he then tried to do. I find it disappointing that The Fence Co. does not have a reasonable scale of charges to provide repair services for customers who buy their product. It is their right not to, but I would not use them again to install a fence for me because of it, nor would i recommend them to someone on that bases. I have left their "The Fence Co. w/phone#" sign on my gate all these years, but it is coming off this weekend."

"Wow!  Rob, his services, and prices are AWESOME!  This is a very atypical installation service, basically you buy any fence you want from a retail store (in my case Amazon) and he installs it for you, that's it.  It's not a full-service operation, but I love that.  All I really wanted was someone to install it for me.  I knew I would have to rent an edger and even then it would probably take me all day considering I hadn't done it before (plus my backyard is just woods so there is a lot brush).  Rob said he had been doing it for many years, he uses a converted edger with a saw blade and a reel of wire (he upgrades the strength of your wire for free).  So he just walks along and as his device is digging a trench, cutting through brush and  he's simultaneously laying the wire.  And even though he says that he doesn't do anything more than that, he did take the time to explain to me how to operate the system and collar.  <br> <br>I had priced out full service companies and they were always over $1000.  This was $300 for installation and $300 for the fence itself (which I paid for separately), I figure I at least saved myself $400. <br> <br>I really can't recommend this enough as long as you understand that you'll do all the dog training yourself (it's not that hard). <br> <br>Word of Advice: Rob prefers texting to phone calls. <br> <br> <br> <br>"

"I was happy with the installation and also with the training they provided for my dog. We are having a bit of a problem now, and their policy is kind of frustrating. My fence will beep intermittently, and they told me they’ll come out only if the fence is beeping, otherwise they’d charge me a $75 fee."

"Kevin and John just finished building a 575 foot 4 board fence in my backyard. They also removed the old fence. They did the whole job in only 7 days. It is not only the best looking fence in the neighborhood, but it is also extremely solid and straight. Each post is perfectly in line with each other, as are the boards. The gates are solid as well and function perfectly. A neighbor liked the job so much that he asked the boys for an estimate for his yard. Kevin and John cleaned up any mess that the job created. When they were done all I could see was my yard and a beautiful fence. If you want a beautiful solid fence for a very reasonable price, look no further than Heartwood Fence. The owners, Kevin and John, with over 3 decades of experience, do all the jobs, so you don't have to hope you will get a good crew when other fence companies are hired. TOP NOTCH! 5 stars!"
