However, since this work was not that extensive, they were able to move it up earlier within their schedule. The technicians called in advance of the arriving and were able to complete the work over two days. The cleanup was satisfactory. The technicians offered the additional advice that longer term the chimney could use a rebuild."

"I just recently had a duct cleaning done by a reputable company after moving into another home. The time and manner in which they performed the service was well beyond what I had experienced with Top Dog. So, that is why this complaint is being filed after more than 1 yr. Top Dog advertised (and still do) $99 for 10 ducts and $15 for each additional duct. Also, they said there would be an additional nominal charge for being outside of their normal area. My home had 14 ducts, so the service charge should have been $159; however, they charged $400 plus $30 tax. In addition for the exorbitant bill, only one guy was there for 1 hr, failed to clean several of the ducts, and instead of using a large vacuum hose placed at the furnace plenum and compressed air via the vents, they only used a small brush ad vacuum hose via the vents. Clearly, I received unsatisfactory service (now that I know how it should be done) and was grossly overcharged. Its outrageous that Top Dog has an A+ rating with the BBB. I would never recommend their service and disgusted that they are still in operation."

Most had long lead times due to supply chain issues or a booked schedule, which was an unpleasant proposition given that the colder months were fast approaching. Residential Heating and Air was the last company I contacted. I was immediately impressed by the great customer service and the attentiveness to my needs. Chris, the owner, came over himself to assess the situation and provide an estimate. He was able to find a Magic Pak unit that fit the limited space and provided an estimate that was very competitive. Installation only took four hours, plus another hour for the electrician to finish the hookup. First contact to installation was less than two weeks, which was pretty remarkable, especially given how covid has disrupted the supply chain. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend this company."

"When I first called about broken AC, they were able to send out a service tech the same day. The problem was actually in our furnace. We had the choice of repairing it or getting a new furnace; we chose the latter since the furnace was 17 years old. Following the installation two days later, AC was working, but then ceased working again the next night (a Friday night). When I called them Monday morning, a service tech was again here the same day. There was a problem in the AC unit, which may or may not have been driven by initial furnace problem. Tech fixed it no charge; AC was back working. All four employees (techs and installers) were polite and careful about taking off their shoes in the house."

"Quality Called this morning from work . Furnace was out. They had a tech out within an hour. That's the good. Here's the bad: in my home 30-40 minutes says the damage extensive. crack? Needs expensive 2000.+ Repair or replace after supposed diagnostics? I get on YouTube and a video a guy posts shows me how to read the error code. I get home and get the code and YouTube search that problem they send me outside to check the intake PVC pipe coming into my home. It is blocked with snow. He (their technician)never checked it no footprints in the snow but mine. Cleared the block she's running great. Paid them 159.00 for that????? YouTube guy saved me thousands of $$$$ beware of this company.... I reached out to an old friend who does this and he said if their tech found a crack that he would have taken a carbon monoxide reading and put that info on the red tag he left on the unit. No such test performed. No reading left. Just a nice quote for over 2000.00 for future repairs that wanted to schedule asap.. you know for my benefit??? Service:"

"Ron and his team did an absolute amazing job on the HVAC work for my basement remodel. They were right on time, and explained everything they did. There was no hidden costs in any of the pricing, and they even gave me some great pointers with furnace and AC maintenance. I am planning another addition on the house soon and will be using Ron and his team again. They came highly recommended from other people in the neighborhood as well."

"After a Coit truck left my driveway following some upholstery cleaning, I found an oil spot on my pavers where the truck had been parked. I called and was told that they could easily remove the spot and would come back to do this at the end of the week. No one showed up or called with an update. This was at the end of April. It is now near the end of June. I have called them at least 6 or 7 times to find out if they would come to remove it. During that period I think they have come either 2 or 3 times to work on this spot which was supposedly easy to remove. I always had to call them since they never left a note or called to say they had been here. The last time they were here was 5 or 6 days ago. The spot is certainly less visible, but it’s still there despite their assurances that it was totally gone. Will not use Coit again. Ever."

"I was in need of soffit, fascia, and siding. Had an estimate drawn up for all of it. We decided to just do gutters, soffit, and fascia (thankfully). Did a walk through, and contract signing gave them half down (all professional up to this point). Then it went downhill. Short story, the job is done 2.5 months later. Sales guy goofed, mishandled the situation. Water behind the fascia, lights not reinstalled, coax not put back. Countless emails, calls etc. Just got off the phone with Charles who went off on me because he thought I was some other guy. But at least I let them finish the job, not like the other guy from last year. Well, apparently I am not the only one."
