"The communication from the office was wonderful. The technician arrived late, but apologized. Did put up the fan. However, the only reason they didn’t get a five star rating as he did not ask me what size downrod I wanted and installed the longer one and I wanted the shorter one. When I asked him, he said it’s too late to change it now. However, he was courteous and kind. Just didn’t follow through on what I had asked because he said it would take too much to change it."

"Great service! Our technician even did a free inspection of our home to make sure there weren't any other issues. He explained things in a clear concise manner and was super friendly and professional."

"Dr Sparky did the electrical work for a new construction house and did an amazing job. He was very knowledgeable and friendly, did high quality work, and was extremely reliable. He's everything you could hope for in a contractor. He listened to what we needed, made excellent recommendations, and we got exactly what we needed. I'd highly recommend him to anyone needing electrical work done, especially if you care about getting it done right and on time."

"Prophet came out last week and priced a new Generator that would take care of our home during outages. He was very polite and they actually got the unit installed 4 days later! It look great, it works perfectly and on top of all that they will do all the maintenance on it for us so itâ s worry free. If you want a generator or are just thinking about getting one. Call these guys they are awesome"

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in Colfax, NC

There are several telltale signs that your home is due for an electrical upgrade. You may need to rewire your house if your lights are constantly flickering or your circuit breaker keeps tripping. If you feel mild electric shocks when you touch light switches, hear buzzing sounds, or notice burning smells, you may need to rewire your house, too. Discolored or burnt-looking switches and faceplates are another crucial warning sign.

Properly installed copper wiring in a residential property can last as long as 50 to 100 years in some cases, but many homes over 30 years old are due for an upgrade. That’s the timeline that many experts recommend, even if it is only a partial update to accommodate technological advancements, increased power demands, and changing safety requirements.

At $3 to $5 per square foot, the cost to wire a 2,000-square-foot house ranges from $6,000 to $10,000, on average. This can depend on many factors, like the age and complexity of the house and how easy it is for contractors to access the areas they need to get the job done. Opening and repairing walls can further add to your total cost.
