"We needed to replace our existing driveway and thoroughly investigated options using concrete, pavers or stamped concrete. After reviewing the pros and cons of all products, we decided on driveway pavers and secured multiple bids. We asked GC Concrete for bids for concrete as well as for pavers. Gabriel gave us an extremely attractive bid in both concrete and pavers, with a planned completion time of about 7 days. We shared the bid with our next door neighbor who recently retired from the concrete business and he noted that Gabriel's concrete bid was very fair and discounted the way even larger projects would expect. We have a tree in the center of the driveway that was buckling the existing concrete and the decision to use pavers would not only benefit the increased water to the tree but would make for an easy repair for any future root disturbance. Gabriel directed us to a stone yard, where we could evaluate and see multiple pavers, paver color and patterns. We also discussed additional challenges with the job, which involved enlarging the existing driveway, sprinklers, changing the entry steps and coordinating with the city, since we discovered we had a broken sewer line under the existing driveway. Once we began, the actual completion time ran longer, due to circumstances outside our contractor's control. We needed a city inspection after the city repaired the sewer line, and we caused a delay in getting materials after we chose a paver color that was new and decided we wanted it tumbled and also had a weather delay. Gabriel's team was on the job during the two weeks we had 97-to 100-degree heat. They were respectful and worked 6 days of week, often until 7 p.m. Owner Gabriel was quick to address our concerns and return our phone calls. He updated us every step of the way and the finished product is beautiful! He is insured and guarantees his work. Our current pool deck is 30 years old and we will be calling Gabriel again to replace it. I strongly recommend GC Concrete Specialist, LLC! As an aside, in researching his company, I learned he received and completed the bid for one of the city of Colleyville's beautiful roundabouts, which only bolstered my confidence in his company. Genuine, great guy with integrity!"
