"Our Apollo entry gate stopped working at our rural property. I called Rolling Garage Doors & Gates and Shane called me back. We discussed the situation and Shane asked me to send him a variety of pics of the hardware, gate openers and controller, which I did. After a review, he suggested I buy a new battery to see if that solved the problem before scheduling an on-site visit. He suspected it would, and it did! We very much appreciate their professionalism and courtesy. We've owned rural property at other locations and know that gate repair can be complicated. We highly recommend Rolling Garage Doors & Gates!"

"Shane at Rolling Garage Doors and Gates installed wood-look, insulated garage doors on our home. Our original doors were in poor condition and were improperly installed to begin with. We wanted to go with fairly high-end doors to improve the appearance of our home. Shane came to our home and reviewed options with us, and helped us select some very nice looking doors. The contract was clearly written and Shane made sure to stay in communication with us through-out the process. The most notable thing about our experience with Shane and his team was their attention to detail. Shane would not rest until everything little thing was perfect, even though this clearly meant extra time and effort on his part, showing a level of attention to detail, technical knowledge, and pride in his work that you don't often see. He also patiently addressed all my questions throughout the process. I wouldn't hesitate to use Shane again in the future."

"The garage door manufacturer required a $2500 deposit and was involved with the garage remodel starting June 2013 regarding measuring the openings while framing/stucco/drywall was in progress. We did request a vertical V grooved exterior appearance. <br /> Manufacturing and Install: <br /> The doors they manufactured and brought to the home were a manufactured paint-grade manufactured wood doors, looked VERY heavy & bulky (qualities we had never requested)  otherwise nothing special from the outside. The windows were single-pane.When they installed them I noted that the doors did not seal around all the edges equally, leaving gaps (1/2-3/4") along an area of the side/top of the doors, that will allow for small rodents or leaf blower projected debris to enter the garage readily. Elk Grove Overhead Doors made some adjustments, then blamed the situation on the stucco/framing and stated it is the best they could do, leaving me with uneven significant gaps around both doors. <br /> Now after the initial rain exposure ( moisture only since they are protected by an eave)  it ALSO appears the exterior surface of the doors is starting to have blister-like but deep bubbles ( I would guess delaminations of the manufactured wood product) in several small areas, and the wood appears to be delaminating (flaking superficial layers at several of the V-grooves. <br /> Openers and door function: <br /> When they attached the openers my wife and I were alarmed how loud and 'clunky' the doors/openers were! Sounds like a castle draw-bridge being retracted with big chains. Since our garage doors are near our neighbor's master bedroom we had erroneously expected the new doors to be less noisy than the older doors we had. They installed chain drives ( instead of belt drives) which they stated they needed to use because of the heaviness of the doors. They stated most of the noise was the chain drive.Again, we never asked for  heavy doors. It appears as if  the doors are striking the middle rail when initially opening though they assured us it only looked that way. I was dismayed that these type of details were not worked out on paper before manufacturing and install since they were involved early in the garage remodel. <br /> The wheels in the tracks intermittently squeal and sound as if they are not properly riding in the rails. <br /> Corrective actions: <br />   <br /> Initially after install and before full payment was made Elk Grove Overhead Door came back and "adjusted" the doors assuring us that they were fine and were not striking the railing and that they were not responsible for the door and wall leaving gaps.  Since they were been paid in full, they responded to my telephone call and promised to come out and take a look what they could do to make us satisfied with their product. They were a no-show for that appointment; since then I have made several telephone calls to John with our concerns and dissatisfaction with the doors and the noisy functioning; he has been apologetic and verbally responsive with promises that they would call me back the following day or week to set up a time to come out to make things right.  Several excuses later, (only after I called them and reminded them they had not called back to schedule repairs as they had promised) and 7 months after installation and payment we have new noisy doors that don't seal, sound like they are breaking/not functioning right and now the material they are made out of appears to be blistering and flaking. Wondering how soon I will need to replace the opener or door?? <br /> Nice polite people, but I would avoid Elk Grove Overhead Door at any price; my opinion is the new acquired headaches and expenses that come with the doors are not worth it. <br />"

"I called and got a quote from them about July/Aug for a chain link with vinyl fence. I needed to have some other work done (more urgent) and called them back in Sept. They came back out and gave me an updated quote for the wood/chain fence. They started the work about 2 weeks later and finished in a couple days. This is basically a family business and it shows in their customer service. I would recommend their work to anyone looking for a fence repair/replacement. They do all types of fencing. <br />"

"It went very well. Charles, who installed the door as well as providing a bid, was professional in his original meeting with me. He answered all my questions well, and Bell's price was competitive. He arrived early after checking with me to make sure it was ok, and he did the work quickly and efficiently. He cleaned up after completing the job."

"I called at 8 a.m. on 11/3 and Kevin advised me that Don would be out the same day between 12:30 and 2:30. He arrived at 2:00. The garage door opener is 18 years old and the manufacturer is out of business. Don showed me broken gears and stated that he could not get replacement parts. He installed a new opener and was done within an hour.. The Angie's List listing indicated that they offer Senior discounts. Don indicated to me that they do not offer these discounts, and haven't for about 5 years. <br />"

"Great company! Top notch customer service. Prompt, courteous and well priced. From bid to completion a processional operation. They took care with the removal of our old fence and installed a beautiful new, solid fence. They cleaned the work area when done, respected my property and were very talented workers. We will hire them to replace more fencing in the near future."

"Upon inspection, I found a lot wrong. They didn't trench 4 inches down the last 11 feet so the new fence is above the back fence it attaches to. (By the time I saw what was happening they were 80% done with the fence.) That also led to them not sinking one post completely so now the metal post that should be hidden is visible. And it means the entire fence is well above the rest of the ground level so now I have to put in a kickboard to make sure my dogs don't dig under to get to the neighbor's chickens. There is a dog-ear that overlaps the one next to it and it doesn't have any nails in the bottom. It's not straight. Not what I expected at $49 / foot."
