"Highly recommend Corey for his landscaping work! He is a hard worker, dependable, and a great communicator. I am amazed at how closely he matched the vision for my backyard with the final results. We created AI mockup images, and he brought them to life exactly as imagined. Whenever I asked for something to be done a certain way, Corey listened carefully, followed through, and had me check his work to make sure I was satisfied before moving on. He’s personable, professional, and clearly takes pride in his work. His pricing is fair, and he’s flexible when it comes to adding or cutting scope based on my needs and wants. Overall, I’m extremely happy with the results and I will be hiring Corey for my future projects. "

"Myers Landscape and Tree Service did an outstanding job on my yard. The project included trimming a large oak tree, installing sod front and back, removing old plants and installing azaleas, gardenias, ferns, river stone and pine straw in the planting beds. I called Adam because of his work helping my in-laws a few years prepare their house for sale. That job included brick work that looked great. He gave first rate advice on the plants to use, how to shape the tree during trimming and the best areas of the yard to install the sod. He was easy to contact for scheduling the work and updating those dates when inclement weather caused delays. I'm pleased with the results and the cost for the project was very reasonable. I highly recommend that you use Myers Landscape for your yard and tree work."

FAQs for brick and stone patios, walks, and steps installation projects in Columbiana, AL

When cleaning your flagstone patio, begin by gently hosing off loose dirt and debris. Use a mild solution of white vinegar and water or diluted dish soap to scrub the surface with a soft-bristled brush. Avoid using abrasive tools, such as wire brushes, as they can damage the stone’s seal and finish. This careful approach effectively removes mold and grime while preserving the natural beauty of your patio.

Flagstone naturally offers a neutral palette that includes shades of grey, black, red, yellow, brown, and tan, and its inherent color cannot be altered. Choosing varieties like bluestone provides a subtle bluish tint that complements many exterior designs. These natural hues enhance curb appeal and create a refined, timeless look in your outdoor space, ensuring a sophisticated finish with minimal upkeep.

Flagstone for a patio must have a minimum thickness of 1.5 inches to reliably support furniture and foot traffic. Using stone that is two to three inches thick is recommended to ensure lasting durability. The increased thickness prevents cracking under load and enhances long-term performance. Investing in thicker flagstone provides superior stability and resistance to weather conditions, ensuring your outdoor space remains both safe and attractive.

You can paint a flagstone patio by using a high-quality, outdoor elastomeric latex paint designed for heavy foot traffic. Painting not only refreshes the patio’s appearance but also creates a waterproof barrier that protects the stone from damage. Regular reapplication every one to two years maintains its durability and visual appeal, ensuring your patio remains both stylish and well-protected.
