"I started off wanting a simple concrete work done on a pathway and patio. Marvin showed me paver options that I hadn't previously considered and even though they increased the price of the project, I am so much happier with the look of the end result. Everything is beautiful. The crew did fabulous work. My husband and I are looking forward to enjoying our new outdoor spaces for years to come."

"Ramon quickly came out to provide an estimate and when I was ready to do the work, he and the crew came out almost the next day, on a Saturday! I was REALLY impressed with their work. They did an awesome job on fixing the pavers. Their poly-work was great as well but there were a few spots that didn't get filled completely so a couple weeds are coming in already. Never the less, my patio is so much better than it was, and I'm really happy with their work. I'll definitely use them again in the future."

"Big job to re-grade property to allow for proper drainage and prevent flooding during the spring thaw. Also installed some underground drainage piping to help drain some hard to reache spots. After a couple spring thaws, everything is working great. I would highly recommend this business and won't hesitate to have them come back for any future work needed."

"They removed old asphalt and redid the driveway. They showed timely and worked very efficiently. Bob, the sales person for our work, showed up before the crew so he could make sure they knew the details we had discussed. I thought that was a good sign."

"Henson masonry is old school in the best possible way. They are highly skilled artisans who are creative in combining traditional and modern techniques. I cannot recommend them more highly! In fact I am planning to have them redo my master bath after the holidays. I am sorry I don't have before and after pictures of the transformation of the front of my home.
After removing the front stoop because of a disastrous water leak, I found that the entire front and side of the house had been undermined and was going to need extensive repair. The contractor recommended Henson, who thankfully was willing to take on the task. After some discussion Henson suggested I might want to consider stone rather than brick, as it was more in keeping with the Tudor style of the house and also other homes in the neighborhood. The cost, while more than brick, could result in a significantly better appearance. He was spot on! We met at the stoneyard where he helped me choose the stone. He also suggested I have the address etched into a flat stone away from the door, where it would be readable from the street. Another great idea.
For the front stoop he brought numerous samples of different sizes and colors of stone for a very personalized and I think beautiful choice. The craftsmanship of their work is magnificent. Every stone was carefully selected to make a pleasing and varied pattern.
My patio, which is also stone, over many years, had sunken. Henson found a very large, slightly narrow, stone to place on top of the existing stone in front of the patio door in order to make the entrance more manageable. Also leveled and added some compound that has provided an aesthetically pleasing weed barrier between the stones.
Working with Henson was an absolute joy. Great work ethic. Tidy. Terrific ideas. Easy to have around.
Even after more than a year, I smile every time I drive into the driveway or walk out my front door."

"Jerry, Nate, and crew did a great job on my flagstone patio. It is a two level New York Bluestone patio with stone outcroppings connecting the upper and lower levels. I had a plan for about how I was hoping the final patio would look - but Jerry, Nate, and crew took it to another level and really made it into something awesome. They were timely, professional, and on budget. I really appreciate the great work they did!"

"Great. I appreciate their very useful suggestions for initial planning. The crew did a great job and excellent clean-up, and also gave good suggestions for maintenance. This is my 2nd project with Ganshert and I will definitely use them for future projects."

FAQs for interlocking pavers for patios, walks & steps installation projects in Columbus, WI

To calculate your paver needs:

 • Determine how many pavers cover a square foot.

 • Determine how many square feet you need.

 • Add an additional 10% to 20% for breakage and waste.

 • Consider your pavers’ sizes.

Or, you can hire a local pro who you know will get the right measurements the first time. This way, you get your weekend back instead of spending it measuring square footage.

A pallet of pavers costs $300 to $700 on average, and each pallet covers 56 square feet. The exact price depends on the type, size, and quantity of pavers you choose. Buying in bulk can sometimes offer additional savings, especially for larger projects. Ask your pro how you can save on material costs.

To get the best prices on pavers:

 • Hire a professional landscaper: Pros often receive discounts on materials, which can make hiring them more cost-effective overall.

 • Shop at local building supply stores: Check for overstock or bulk purchase deals. Bulk purchasing can be more costly up front but save you money in the long run.

 • Buy directly from manufacturers: Purchasing from a local brickyard or paver factory can offer competitive prices, especially for large quantities.

The main difference between driveway pavers and patio pavers is their load-bearing capacity. Driveway pavers are designed to withstand the weight of vehicles, whereas patio pavers aren’t suitable for such heavy loads. You can use driveway pavers for a patio, but using patio pavers for a driveway could lead to damage. Always check the weight limits of pavers and consult with a professional installer to choose the right type for your project.

Paver patios cost more than concrete patios because the materials and installation methods require advanced techniques and skilled labor. They deliver enhanced aesthetic appeal and allow for easier small‑scale repairs without affecting property taxes. The higher expense arises from premium paver materials and intricate installation processes that deliver long‑lasting durability and design flexibility. This robust solution provides notable benefits over concrete alternatives, making it a valuable investment for homeowners.
