"Dave and his team were awesome! They were very knowledgeable about many things including natural boulder placement, grading and irrigation. I also appreciated their sensitivity to the existing landscape and how clean they kept the worksite. All three on the crew were sweet to our dog and our son and felt like part of the family by the time the job was complete. We are incredibly happy with their work and we plan on hiring Rothgery & Sons next summer for another project. Highly recommend!"

"The guys from RB were great to work with. They were able to come the night I called even though they had a busy weekend. They were quick and efficient and even helped out my neighbor the same evening. As an extra bonus for me, they hauled everything away which was really helpful since I didn’t need the extra wood. I also use them to clean up my rental property yard. All around excellent work. I would highly recommend giving them a call for any of your household needs."

"We just had a large cottonwood tree removed (approx. 80' tall and 90' in from the street). Our arborist Scott Scholz from Savatree did an excellent job of coordinating the city, the crane service, and Savattee crew in getting the tree removed. All came together within a half hour on removal day and was completed in 7 hours. The tree partially covered 4 homes and was damaged in the May 2022 snow storm. With Scotts analysis we all agreed it was time to remove. Thank you Scott and your assistant Liv Duesterberg for her great support. Dave & Bette W."

"The job went as near to perfect as we could imagine.  They had given us a two-week time to complete the job, and even though there was one day that snow prevented work, they still managed to keep within the two-week estimate, mostly because they were on the job every day, and stayed at the job until it was completed.  I can't imagine finding another landscape company that could or would have done a better job.  I would recommend them 100% for this type of work. <br />"

"We first hired Brad to complete a patio that someone else had begun. That led into doing another patio with beautiful stairs connecting them. He redesigned our fence configuration in the back yard so that we have more back yard, plus built it 8 feet tall to keep the deer out of the yard. Then we talked about the floors in our home; eight rooms had old carpet or linoleum and we wanted to switch to ceramic tile. Brad learned how to lay tile, even bringing in a professional tile-layer from Utah who is a good friend, and helping us pick out what type of tile to use and what patterns to use in each room. Next was the garage project, which Brad designed and built himself. He then built us a chicken house which he designed, based on his experience raising his own chickens (and sold us some starter hens and a rooster). The patios are bordered by low walls made of beer/pop cans covered with stucco; they are free-form and very organic looking. The bathtub project came about because we discovered mold behind the wall around the tub; he and a carpenter friend removed the tub and designed a shower stall, maximizing the space available. He even custom-made the shower pan. The last projects he did were the raised beds, the outdoor kitchen, and the final patio that replaced the old front porch (also with low walls). Brad is an artist in his work; he did the design work on most of these projects, but would work with us and LISTEN to us express our ideas of what we wanted. He is very personable and friendly, easy going, and fun to have around!. We have personally recommended him to friends and acquaintances in the area; his work speaks for itself. I want to adopt him! <br />"

"Juan, from AJs landscaping was a true lifesaver.  I had just been scammed out of $9,000, and after 2 1/2 months, my fence was done terrible, with the whole front and part of the side still missing, and the guy disappeared on me again.  I have been heartsick over the entire job, or lack of.  I have dogs, so this has been very hard, and extremely stresssful for me, with no other options, since I had no money left.  <br /> I hired Juan to help me with this, since I NEED a fence, and he even worked with me on the payment, considering what I just went through.  He did a wonderful job, enclosed the open area, and even fixed part of the fence that was messed up, which was not included in payment, so he could do it right.  He previously showed me numerouse pictures of before and after shots of landscaping he has done, all appear to be very good work, so once I get caught up with all this, I'm definitely hiring him to fix everything that was messed up, and left undone, by this con man, and do the landscaping for my front and back yards. <br /> I contacted Juan on Monday, he came the very next day (Tuesday), and worked all day, and about an hour on Wednesday, and got it completed, a HUGE relief off me.  He is a hard working individual, professional, knowledgeable, and conscientious, wanting to do it right, and make his cusotmers happy.  I know he accomplished that with me.  I would recommend AJs Landscaping, and Juan, to anyone, and will definitely be hiring him later to do my landscaping. <br />"

FAQs for interlocking pavers for driveways & floors installation projects in Como, CO

With proper maintenance, permeable pavement can last for over 20 years. Bi-annual vacuuming prevents clogs from debris and sediment, extends the pavement’s lifespan, and helps you avoid costly driveway repairs. Permeable pavement often has a shorter lifespan in areas with heavy traffic or harsh weather conditions.

Pervious and porous usually refer to pouring asphalt or concrete—which is a single massive object—but with enough small holes to allow for even drainage. This is also sometimes called thirsty concrete. Permeable concrete pavers are precast concrete designed to also allow for drainage. Permeable grass pavers allow grass to grow through them and provide drainage.

Pervious, porous, and permeable pavers are similar because they make it easier for rain or snow to drain or absorb into the ground rather than overload the storm or sewer systems.

The most significant benefit of water-permeable pavement is that it helps precipitation absorb better (and slower) into the ground, which avoids overloading sewers and causing overflows and backups. It also helps recharge the groundwater and prevent agricultural runoff from lawns.

If you’ve ever seen water rushing into a storm drain, permeable pavement prevents that. Instead of water running off a steep driveway, a good amount of it “soaks” directly underneath the pavement.

Topmix permeable concrete costs $8 to $16 per square foot, including all installation costs. However, they give out estimates on a project-by-project basis. However, Tarmac, the company that made the product, no longer produces Topmix.

Ecoraster is a brand that offers many different permeable paving options in North America. Prices vary depending on the product and project. They’ll give estimates for each individual project. While not actual pavers, these grids serve a similar function. Ecoraster grids come in various styles and allow for similar drainage compared to permeable pavers or porous paving.

Permeable driveways may cost slightly more than a traditional paving type, but they reduce or eliminate the need to install any other type of drainage system. Drainage systems cost $2,000 to $6,500 to install. They also reduce stormwater runoff, sewer overflows, and help eliminate urban agriculture runoff, which can pollute waterways.
